So What Pickup Line Would Work on You Right Now?

I forgot to wear my wedding ring to the bus stop. All that spring cleaning today made me keep the ring safe in my jewelry box. I joked with my fellow bus stop moms, "Imagine if we had to go out on the dating scene again. Wouldn't that be enlightening?" So that's the inspiration for this attempt at a funny post. Hopefully, some of these will make you chuckle.

Here are some pickup lines that may work on me at this point in my life (41 and tired most of the time :)
  • "I'll let you sleep."
  • "Hugh Jackman is my cousin." Even if there was a remote chance to meet Hugh, I would be tempted.
  • "Here's a picture of my villa in Tuscany." Remember that Diane Lane movie, The Tuscan Sun? Check me out thinking that I'm in Diane Lane's league. Hey, this is fantasy!
  • "I have a chocolate shop." Maybe he needs a counter girl? Just think of all that chocolate on hand. (I'm really improvising here as I type. Am I making any sense? Can you tell that I'm wiped out today?)
  • "I'd like to hear your point of view." A man who wants me to talk? That is tempting.
  • "Parlez-vous francais?" The accent gets me every time.
  • "You never have to do laundry again." Now I know many of you would take a minute to consider that one.
Well, that's all I got. I have to get the boys to soccer practice. The 4th grade revolutionary encampment went well. I was the official water girl. I kept all those troops hydrated on that warm May day. See how I'm a serving girl everywhere I go :) I have to say that those sharp dressed regiments proudly served their tour of duty. It was sweet to see their excitement and curiosity about that time period in our country's history.

See you all soon!

"You'll never have to move again. And did I mention I own a major appliance store?" Yeah. That one would work in a heartbeat. No moving. Washers and dryers that work. :)

Kelly, I loved these! Especially the Hugh Jackman one and the "I'd like to hear your point of view" one. :-)

Some ones that would cause me to think about leaving my husband are:

--"I own a McDonald's store and you can have endless supplies of frappes." ;-)

--"I write poetry and love reading classics out loud to the one I love."

--"Oh hi, I thought you were Heidi Klum."

--"I do dishes, windows, toilets and I'm not gay."

Maybe, just maybe, the laundry one would tempt me. But as I'm a cynical old thing I never trust the motives.... grins. Have a great weekend.

At this point in time, any one will do but I would like the "I'll let you sleep." or "Let me cook from now on" or even "Go out, have fun, I'll watch the kids. Here, take $500."

Have a lovely weekend :)

Great pickup lines.

Wonder what kind of lines I would get in this day and age if I had my wedding band off? :D

Oh well, the joys of being bald and middle aged.

Hope your weekend is a sensational one.

LOVE this post... Sadly, I am out in the world of the single and dating... and here are a few that I would love... (keep in mind I live in a weird place)...

**I have no idea what Area 51 is... and I will not be taking you to a meeting for the abducted for our first date....

**I read and not just the label on the beer can.

**I don't have a criminal record, nor do many of friends.

It's sad out there ladies. Be glad for what you have! =)

Those are good ones. I might leave my husbands if another man offered me a lifetime supply of cupcakes :-)

From the other side:

I'll mow the lawn for you.
I'll keep you in the style you desire.
Thinning and gray hair is so sexy.
