So What Pickup Line Would Work on You Right Now?

I forgot to wear my wedding ring to the bus stop. All that spring cleaning today made me keep the ring safe in my jewelry box. I joked with my fellow bus stop moms, "Imagine if we had to go out on the dating scene again. Wouldn't that be enlightening?" So that's the inspiration for this attempt at a funny post. Hopefully, some of these will make you chuckle.

Here are some pickup lines that may work on me at this point in my life (41 and tired most of the time :)
  • "I'll let you sleep."
  • "Hugh Jackman is my cousin." Even if there was a remote chance to meet Hugh, I would be tempted.
  • "Here's a picture of my villa in Tuscany." Remember that Diane Lane movie, The Tuscan Sun? Check me out thinking that I'm in Diane Lane's league. Hey, this is fantasy!
  • "I have a chocolate shop." Maybe he needs a counter girl? Just think of all that chocolate on hand. (I'm really improvising here as I type. Am I making any sense? Can you tell that I'm wiped out today?)
  • "I'd like to hear your point of view." A man who wants me to talk? That is tempting.
  • "Parlez-vous francais?" The accent gets me every time.
  • "You never have to do laundry again." Now I know many of you would take a minute to consider that one.
Well, that's all I got. I have to get the boys to soccer practice. The 4th grade revolutionary encampment went well. I was the official water girl. I kept all those troops hydrated on that warm May day. See how I'm a serving girl everywhere I go :) I have to say that those sharp dressed regiments proudly served their tour of duty. It was sweet to see their excitement and curiosity about that time period in our country's history.

See you all soon!
