The Simple Things for Me
- Chill of the morning air to stir me awake.
- My 4 year old daughter rubbing her belly as she does her belly dance.
- Silence at the end of a busy day.
- A beautiful passage in a book that could bring me to tears.
- Peace and calm that I feel as I sit in the church pew.
- My older boys holding the younger ones' hands.
- That big hug I love to give when I see someone again after a long time.
- A painting that can transport me for the moment.
- When I find "me" in my poetry.
- Two days in row I have to mention chocolate :)

Hello. I am visiting you today in the wake of Christina's love. Thank you for your list. I love your mention of your children holding hands. Lovely. (And chocolate is always worth mentioning twice!)
Great list! Probably one could mention chocolate every day if one had to.... :O)

simple things brings smile
I'm still smiling at your daughter rubbing her belly as she belly dances...I think that image will stay with me as my sunshine for the day!
Amazing! that your daughter is rubbing her belly.

What a great posting - if I can pull one together I will post one and link back. Thanks for sharing.
It really is the simply things that make life wonderful.
What a nice idea. Life is really all about those simple things that mean so much, that we experience every day. Coffee, and smiles, and snowy days. And hey, we can mention chocolate every day ;)
one on my list is the opportunity to read this blog and see the true spirit of grin.
I love the one about finding you in poetry. It's a special feeling. Loved your list!

Wow, I love this list. This sounds interesting. Maybe I will check out what others are doing. My favorite line: "A beautiful passage in a book that could bring me to tears."
I feel that way too often while I am reading something. Thanks for the memorable and beautiful list : )
Your poetry is awesome. I love silence too...as you read in my other comment:)
=] Nice post
I love your list. Children do give so much pleasure - I treasure all my time with them.
These are lists we can post for ourselves and always be reminded when times are tough.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
What a great list...I have to remember this. Simple is best!
There's nothing quite like witnessing the love of siblings -- love holding hands!
This list is so reflective of the beautiful you I've come to know and love through your blog.
Excellent list- and of course you had to include chocolate, silly! :)
I love the silence at the end of the day. The house has been (mostly) put back together, everyone is sleeping, and I can just breathe...
What a fantastic idea, especially for this tough economic times! I am starting a happy list now, and will post it soon on my own blog. Thanks for the wonderful tip and the good cheer.
I love watching my oldest with his younger siblings...when he wants to be nice to them that is.
What a grateful person you are.
Awww! Such a great list! Jacob rubs his belly button when he is falling asleep. I just love it.
Chocolate is always my go-to girl. ;-)
Thans so much for the lovely comments you've left at my Word Garden. :-)
The simple things - how wonderful. Your 4 year old sounds so sweet. I love that stuff. My little girl caresses my face, and my boy hums while puts his nose next to mine. Enjoy your weekend Kelly.
When I find me in my poetry. I love that.
beautiful list :)
I love you list (as I knew I would.) That belly dance sounds wonderfully amusing. And you have a very "glass half full" to view the cold morning air as a good thing to wake you up!!
I'm glad you did this. So many of these simple things posts were pure poetry.
I had a beautiful image flash on each of your points. I love the belly rub. LOL And the holding hands. That's just one of the most beautiful things I get to witness each day.
I seriously may have to get in on this simple things listing deal. What a great reminder of all the beauty we're surrounded by!!
