What should I do today?

Happy Labor Day everyone! We survived the soccer tournament. At one point, I almost got a ball in the face. Gratefully, a little angel must have been watching over me and I moved away just in time. I would probably have a nose like Marcia Brady after her "football accident".

I need you guys to help me prioritize my to-do list today. What do you think I should definitely get done on this Labor Day?
  1. Have my sons pick up 41 little cars in their toy room?
  2. Hope my daughter doesn't drop 41 cheerios on the floor?
  3. Should I read for 41 minutes straight without interruption?
  4. Can I manage 41 jumping jacks?
  5. Try to fit 41 candles on my pink birthday cake?
By typing "41" 5 times, I'm trying to get over this whole "age thing" :)

I told my 6 year old that I was 23 today. He scrunched up his little face and said, "Really?, Mom I thought you were like 50!" Geez, I guess I can't even fool that young man :)

Birthday cake is on my approved list of indulgences today! Love those treats! Hopefully, birthday calories just fade away...

Let's see... do 41 things not on your to-do list. (You'll be done before mid-morning.)

At some point... I went with place value on my cake: these candles count for ten each... and these count for one's. It's easier to light 5 candles. (And you won't have to get a fire permit.) ;-)

Happy Birthday.

Happy, Happy Birthday! Yes, definitely go with the reading for 41 minutes straight. (Can any mom really accomplish this? May the force be with you.) That's cool that kids have the day off to celebrate mom's birthday. I'm really loving the art on your page by the way!

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! You are a day older! So Celebrate your life! (A song for you; to the tune of Happy Birthday!)
I hope you celebrated with 41 tails of Joy, 41 belly laughs, 41 wishes, 41 dreams, and 41 things you Love. So Here's to you! and your 41's Birthday! Live, Love, Laugh, and lumber on over to that Birthday cake and blow those candles out with Pride! After all you're 41 and you can still blow out candles, eat cake, and play with balloons as good as the rest of them.... (after all we've had more practice! {smiles}).
So go ahead and sing your very own Birthday song! again and again and again! Happy Birthday Dear Soul! May your Spirit Soar today and always. Love and Light, Nina P.

Happy (Belated) Birthday!! Why did I miss this? (Because I'm terribly far behind in my blog reading.) If it makes you feel any better, I'm going to be 42 in just a week or so -- making me the older of us two Septembermoms!
