Through the years

This poem came to me this morning as I thought about my life in stages.

Pushing Out and Through

Undefined me
eight years of clay
Turn around skating girl
a stronger you awaits.

Stumbling me
eighteen years of questions
Turn around book girl
a wiser you calls.

Bright eyed me
twenty-five years of searching
Turn around wifey girl
a fulfilled you ahead.

Juggling me
forty years of preparing
Turn around mama girl
a knowing you smiles.

I didn't really spend much time editing this poem. I'm going to let it stay as it is for now. Possibly, I'll tweak it some more, but I like how it sounds at this moment. I know that there are more stanzas to be written. Life is a reliable provider of material.

Congratulations on your win on PPP! It reminded me of how we protect that part of us that quietly buds until it's ready to burst into bloom.

Great poem, a window into your life. I like the image of spinning around and becoming the next person, the next stage. Very nice.

I like the structure, and I like where it goes. It's simple.. yet pretty complex in idea. Keep going!

I can only hope that there are more stanzas yet to write than you can possibly imagine. I enjoyed that one!

I like it! There's a whimsical nature here that calls out: rememberance and expectation. Very nice, septembermom.

Editing? What's editing?

I enjoyed this very much. Espcially "Eight years of clay." And what's nice is that in another 15 or so year, you may have another stanza to add.

I really like this! I don't think it needs much editing ... but hopefully there will be many many stanzas added! Love the concept of this poem!
