For a week now, I have been trying to figure out what exciting thing to do for my 100th post. I will borrow my husband's favorite saying during his job search when I asked him to brainstorm with me: "I got nothing." Thanks, Mr. Cooperation!
As we sat finishing off the last crumbs of my sister's chocolate birthday cake, I asked my family for some creative ideas for this post. My oldest son had a good idea that I may save for a later date. He suggested that I post a picture of my husband in drag and reveal that he is the true septembermom. I would have to do his "makeover" during one of his routine recliner naps. He better sleep with one eye open.
Around the table, we bounced a couple of ideas around. Do a game. Do a list. Do a giveaway. It turns out that my 6 year old son wins the prize for the best idea. In the middle of everyone talking and laughing, my son announces, "Mom, don't you always write about how you feel in your blog?" He's right. My blog is mostly about expressing my feelings. So on this occasion of my 100th post, I would like to tell you how I feel right at this moment.
Achy (body is not what it used to be), tired (what else is new), full (meatballs and cake), overwhelmed (dishes), happy (good time today), but overall I feel very BLESSED to have found so many wonderful blogging friends!! I look forward to reading your blogs everyday. I've learned so much about you and myself during my blog visits. You all keep me smiling : ) Thanks for hanging out with me for part of your day!
Now I ask myself what can I write about for post 101....

Congratulations on your 100 posts! Your 6 year old is so wise in his advice for you! Sometimes I think we get caught up with what other bloggers do that we forget to just stay true to ourselves.
I noticed that the last time I posted anything was last Wednesday and I started getting stressed out that I haven't done anything. Then it hit me! Blogging is so supposed to FUN and bottom line it's for me to get my creative juices out. And it's been an extremely busy these past few days.
Anyway, sorry for the long 'novel'. And I'm glad that you've been a great bloggy buddy! (the tag game will be posted Monday for sure!)

Congrates on your 100th. I am glad you are enjoying blog world.
Blessings on your week!
Congratulations and I love that you had a brainstorming session with your family! That's great that they know all about your blog and know you. I'm so glad you write what you feel because it's true, genuine and so refreshing. It's hard to not get caught up in writing what you think people want to hear.
Natalie at Musings from the Deep (you would love her if you already aren't) said that she wished she could meet the kind of friends she has met in the blogging world in flesh. I feel that way sometimes too. I do have some good friends but writing connects you in a different more personal way. I hope you keep on writing Kelly!
Congrats on making it to 100! Very exciting.
Congrats on 100 posts! Someday I'll get there. :) So for 101, you could give us the 101... as in a how to blog? :) Maybe? JK- I'm always happy to read your blog- it's like a journal of your thoughts and feelings and it's so intimate and friendly! Glad you're a blogging friend of mine too!
