Want a t-shirt with my new motto?

To think of me getting a revelation while cleaning up doll accessories all over my living room floor.

While doing that always fun activity, I'm taking in all of "So You Think You Can Dance."

Those dancers half my age amaze me with their musicality, skill, and abandon each week.

So here comes the revelation that pops into my overworked brain.

Dance More; Eat Less

I know...Confucius would envy my stay-at-home mom wisdom.  (insert sarcastic grin here)

Anyway, back to my need for revelation.

So what does it matter that I'm not a gifted dancer in any way? I can dance, and I will.  We all are dancers when we figure out that choreography churning around inside.

What about you?

(P.S. Grumpy 8 year old is standing next to me at 11:01 pm.  He can't sleep due to the heat.  I guess I will waltz him off to sleep :)

Dance away to my dreams

Dance gives me such joy even at midnight when I'm folding the laundry while watching my recording of So You Think You Can Dance on the DVR. What would I do without my DVR? These dances truly put me into a wonderful mood for a restful sleep. Enjoy watching my "lullaby"!

Fingers Crossed for Undisturbed Sleep

I'm not lucky in the sleep department this week. All three of my younger kids seem to take turns when it comes to waking me up at around 3 a.m. Three nights ago, my 3 year old came looking for Mommy. She wanted to cuddle together. So I caved and let her snuggle with me. The next night, my 6 year old had a nightmare and asked that I stay with him until he fell asleep. I walked like a zombie and sat at the edge of his bed until I heard him snoring. Last night, my 9 year old woke up complaining of stomach cramps. Eventually, he felt comfortable enough to go to sleep. My dear hubby slept through all these nighttime encounters.

One night I was so disoriented that I jumped out of my 6 year old's twin bed to answer my daughter's cry in her room. Without my glasses and in the darkness, I couldn't figure out which way to walk. You should have seen me feeling around the walls to figure out how to get out of the room. I was really out of it, I guess. Once again, my knight continued to snore away.

If by some miracle all the kids sleep easily tonight, I will hopefully recharge my old batteries and feel half way alive during the day :)

You know that I will be awake for tonight's "So You Think You Can Dance". Here's a terrific routine, well danced and choreographed. It's a dance exploring the strangle hold of addiction. Hope you all get a good rest too!

Mommy, look at your legs!!

Hi everyone! Thanks for all your well wishes :) I thought that I was on the mend, until I discovered that I had a rash this morning. My feet, legs, arms and hands are all red today. It turns out that I have scarlet fever. Rare in adults, but treatable with antibiotics. My hubby is off to the pharmacy now.

Glad that I have "So You Think You Can Dance" to help me feel better. I thought that this was a beautifully danced and choreographed routine this week.

I miss reading all your posts. I hope to be back on track by Monday.
Enjoy your weekend!!
