Q is for...

Thoreau must have treasured it in the woods.

Bombeck would want to bottle it and sell it to harried parents.

Mozart knew that it filled the spaces between the music beautifully.

Stop what you're doing right now. See if you can harness it for just a minute.

I promise that you'll breathe a little easier after you give yourself this "Q" gift.

There is nothing like a little quiet to bring perspective and peace.

During this Holy Week, I need to make time to allow the quiet to lead me through prayer.

***********

P.S. The kids are off from school tomorrow and Friday. I better take advantage of any quiet that I can find over the next few days. Wishing you all some well deserved peace and quiet :)

Ahhh, quiet, stillness, solitude, peace, yes... all of which will be in short supply come Friday :) Here's to wishing you a slice of it when you most need it over the next few days :)

What a beautiful lead-in to your "Q" word! I really could use some quiet because my unemployed husband is blaring Zeppelin. Can I come hang out on your blog? :)

Quiet. Solitude. Two of my favourite words.

May you and yours have a blessed Easter, Kelly.

I also like to have a quiet hour during the day to collect my thoughts.
Enjoyed your post.

Quiet, we all long for it. Quiet is powerful. Quiet is restorative. Quiet creates space in our life.

Thank you for sharing. Enjoy your times of quiet.

Blessings.

As soon as you mentioned Mozart I knew what you were talking about. Here's hoping you get a little bit of quiet this week. Maybe whip out an onion?

Ahhhh, quiet. That's why I'm a night person: that's the only time it's truly quiet (that and early morning, but I'm SO not a morning person).

Thoreau, Bombeck, Mozart...you had me wondering. Well done.

I'm heading out for a bike ride. During the day my rural neighborhood is peaceful and I ride the rural roads between pastures and row crops. I so enjoy seeing the spring lambs and calfs running in the fields and the not so quiet sounds of spring.

What is quiet? LOL! I am home a couple hours earlier than my brood tomorrow and I am going to love it! Here's hoping you get some too my friend.

Amen to that. I get my quiet each morning on the treadmill as I read my devotions before the house wakes up. It is wonderful. Exercising my body and my spirit.

Oh yes, quiet is top of my list over the next few weeks. Quiet time is essential.

I hope you managed a few days of it, Kelly.

I know exactly how important this is but never seem to take the time to do it. Just breathe deeply! Our weekend is going to be crazy too. To my parents' tomorrow and then Shaune's folks on Sunday. Not to mention the effects of sugar on Deaglan. Sigh. I hope your Easter festivities go well and I wish I could be there to loudly appreciate your cooking in front of your in-laws:)

Ahhh...quiet. That is the reason I wake at 5am to have my devotion. I can't get it any other time of day. I loved these lines, so beautifully written. My crew is off from school until May 2nd. I'm certain I will take advantage of every bit of quiet that comes my way. :)

Funny, I figured out what it was (not realizing it started with a Q) after "Thoreau would have treasured it" - go me. And apparently I need more of it ;)

Happy early Easter!
