Flash Fiction

Arthur Hacker - The Cloister of the Bell

Here's another Flash Fiction (55 words) inspired by a lovely painting.

The audience's hush hungered for the tenor’s embrace of the stage. Hidden in the chorus, Claire felt accelerated by each labored breath as she responded to David's call through song. Shelving a family’s pleas, Claire would follow him through the night. Her life was wrapped around David’s voice.

Thank you for reading. (I'm feeling better, hooray!)

Great words with appreciate sentiments to a masterful work of art in its obvious glorified image of femininity in a pose that grows on your senses of respectability!
