Microfiction Monday

It's Microfiction Monday over at stony river. We are invited to write a story based on a select picture in 140 characters or less (including punctuation and spacing).

Dad has the camera. Stop squirming. Put on a good girl smile. We have to sneak on the train. Oh, this Rockette outfit is itchy!

Kelly's inner dancer surfaces again! I think you would make a great novelist. As I read your 140 characters, I wanted to know more about these girls!

Your imagination floors me. How you go from that picture to the words you conjure up, oh my awesomeness. How long does it take you to do these? I think that is really what happened in this photo now. Have you seen the Rockettes... I so want to.

Nicely done, it does look like they are not comfortable standing there.

That is funny...I just love it. The expressions on their faces are priceless and I could totally hear this conversation as I looked at it.

Nice work Kelly!

Those sly, daring girls must have been extremely slim in order to fit all those clothes on over their Rockettes outfits. This was a very cute story!

The gal on the left doesn't seem to be Rockette material!!! Just saying!

Love your take on this one!

septembermom said...

Well, Jenners, the girl can dream, can't she? LOL.

septembermom said...

Pat, remember that Rockette outfits are usually not much material :)

I'd like to read the next 140 characters. That's a really interesting photo - I love old photos. Seems like a more civilized time.

History in the making, as in your modern literary thoughts on their vintage past.

A step back in time with microfiction humour.

Thank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.

They do have pretty legs!

KB said...

Haha, that must be why they look so tense. Nicely done.

I like this one! It's so appropriate for the era they lived in. What a great microfiction.

p.s. I’m running a competition this week and holding a blogfest in November. If you get time, pop along and have a look.

Love your take on this one. I wish my imagination would work as well.

i love those old "candid" snapshots,, lol.. and this looonnnngggg story,, :)

I like how you get into the minds of the characters and pull out something unexpected. They look so upper crust and boring. I wouldn't have thought to give them secret identities.

I love it! Perfect description in so many characters!

Beautiful photo also!

I absolutely love your creativity with these!!! You have a way of looking at these weekly challenges in a way that I simply could not. Awesome!

Okay, that's definitely the line of the week I think -- "Put on your good girl smile". I might borrow that! LOL
