Microfiction Monday: Kelly Practices Editing

I decided to join in on Microfiction Monday over at stony river. We are invited to write a story about a select picture in 140 characters or less (including space and punctuation).

Tracing the letters, she knew that she wanted to be his Juliet. Stretching, she stood up and placed the postcard in her recipe box.

Wow! That was hard. You should have seen how many words that I had to edit out. It's a fun meme to try. Enjoy your Monday.

This was good Kelly, in a cazillion years I'd never think of Juliet. I wonder what she has cooking for Romeo?? Thanks for stopping by today.

Well, Mom, a recipe box is a good place to hide a missive from a wanna be lover.

Oh nice, I like that story!

And I sympathize with the editing -- mine usually start out around 250 and whittle down from there. Thank heavens for a thesaurus too LOL

Nice. Very well done to end up with that much poignancy in only 140 letters! I'd never be able to do it! :O

VERY NICELY DONE! I am how you say...too loquacious to write microfiction. This also explains why I don't have a twitter account. ha ha!

Microfiction-this is a new word to me. You sentences were really succinct! So few words that said so much!

Awesome. I'm sure it is much harder to do than it looks. I know it would take me edit after edit after edit to get it right. Great job! :)
