I decided to join in on Microfiction Monday over at
stony river. We are invited to write a story about a select picture in 140 characters or less (including space and punctuation).
Tracing the letters, she knew that she wanted to be his Juliet. Stretching, she stood up and placed the postcard in her recipe box.Wow! That was hard. You should have seen how many words that I had to edit out. It's a fun meme to try. Enjoy your Monday.

Wonderful romance here. You are encouraging me to give microfiction a try.
This was good Kelly, in a cazillion years I'd never think of Juliet. I wonder what she has cooking for Romeo?? Thanks for stopping by today.

Oh Lord .. this sounds hard. You done good ... real good. And I was struggling with that one on Saturday that allowed you to have 100 words!
Now this is something I would read. Hubba, hubba... LOL!
Difficult but so worth it. Great job.
Well done. And so eloquently stated too!
Wow, I love this little meme prompt you found. It is difficult to convey a story in so few words. Nicely done Septembermom.

Well, Mom, a recipe box is a good place to hide a missive from a wanna be lover.
..
Oh nice, I like that story!
And I sympathize with the editing -- mine usually start out around 250 and whittle down from there. Thank heavens for a thesaurus too LOL
Nice. Very well done to end up with that much poignancy in only 140 letters! I'd never be able to do it! :O

I've Become My Mother
I think I am going to steal this idea as a challenge for my literature/composition students. Loved your take on the picture! I'm a romantic at heart...
It's brilliant, well done Kelly. I had a look at this postcard and wondered what I could write... I'm still wondering... grins.
Beautiful story my friend. Very well done and Welcome to Microfiction Monday. Thanks for stopping by my playground. Much appreciated. Very well done.

H'mm, a mystery romance - what happens next?
So wonderful. I can see the whole story.
Very well done on your first microfiction - it gets easier honest! ;)
Thats soooo sweet
You totally made it look easy! :O)
VERY NICELY DONE! I am how you say...too loquacious to write microfiction. This also explains why I don't have a twitter account. ha ha!
Microfiction-this is a new word to me. You sentences were really succinct! So few words that said so much!
Makes me want to read more!
Wow, I never could have shortened it down so nicely!
I love seeing all these different fragments on this. The thoughts behond them are all so diffrerent. Love what you did!
I think this is a good writing exercise - really requires you to make good use of each word. Thanks for the support. I wish you lived close by too - at least we could complain over coffee!
Love how you connected postcard and recipe box! A future meal in the brew!
ohhh I have to know how it turns out now!
Well done! And very creative!
Great Dear!!!!!!!!!
Oh yes, that sounds like the beginning of a story I could sink my teeth in to. Its fun to flex the creative muscle from time to time.
Wow it is so much harder saying so much in so few characters...good job..
LOVE that! What a fun new meme!
Kelly, you truly have a gift. How touching...
Awesome. I'm sure it is much harder to do than it looks. I know it would take me edit after edit after edit to get it right. Great job! :)
