Sunday Citar

John William Waterhouse - "The Flower Picker"

I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in.
John Muir

I love to think of nature as an unlimited broadcasting station, through which God speaks to us every hour, if we will only tune in.
George Washington Carver

I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes.
e.e. cummings

The sky is the daily bread of the eyes.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

That Carver quote speaks to my heart. The Earth is such a testament to a God who is bigger and better than I could ever imagine. Thank you for this reminder; I'll be thinking about this as I'm in the garden this afternoon.

Your quotes today remind me of one of my favorite quotes from the novel Dandelion Wine ... "Dig in the earth, delve in the soul." Happy Sunday to you :)

These quotes seem "hopeful" to me -- I hope that they are reflective of how you're feeling these days -- upbeat and hopeful. That is what I want for you my friend! :-)

So beautiful, really brings us back to the beauty that surrounds us everyday. I'm so grateful for what God's blessed us with!

I love the painting. There's something deep inside me that longs for the days of beautiful long dresses.

Hey, I totally agree with this post! (I'm not always contrary.)

Excellent quotes.

These are all wonderful. I especially enjoyed thinking about the quote from John Muir.
I'm not sure where you find your pictures, but they are always lovely!

Great quotes with that amazing painting. Love it.

Love the painting and those quotes are fantastic. The world around us spills its secrets and whisper miracles to the soul if only we take the time to "tune in" with open eyes and ears.

Ooo, I love a well-used quote. That e.e. cummings one is a favorite. So vivid.

Oooo I love those happy relaxing days outdoors. Of course our cloudy and too cold to swim weather today followed by hot but pouring rain until Sunday just isn't cutting it for me. Le sigh.
