Let's be random

Another Thursday of rambling thoughts...
  • I'm looking at my wedding picture as I type. What made me think that a giant bow on the back of my wedding gown was a good idea?
  • My muscles are not thrilled that I shoveled wet, heavy snow yesterday.
  • I caught up on "Grey's Anatomy" last night. It's been a long time since I saw what was going on with all those frisky doctors. I like the sarcastic dialogue. Good looking surgeons too.
  • I'm giving a mini guitar lesson to Joe before I make meatballs tonight. He has been asking me all day. I hope that I can give enough time to him. At least, I know that he'll be happy with the meatballs. His favorite dish of all time.
  • I'm due for new eyeglasses. My daughter highly recommends pink ones. I think I better not bring her to the eyeglass place.
  • I wish I could get up really early to do yoga before I start my day. I'm such a zombie at 6 a.m. I'm lucky that I give the right lunch to the right kid.
  • Has anyone else entered the messy world of "moon sand" with their kids? Fun for them; hassle for me. What was I thinking?
  • Jillian only wants girls around her. She asked my husband if he could change into a girl.
  • I'm wearing my husband's sweat socks today. I'm getting way too relaxed in my fashion sense.
  • The kids were dismissed early due to snowy weather conditions today. I feel like a cruise director trying to give them activities all day.
  • Looks like I'm going to play the game "Othello" now. Remember that one? I'm also drawing "funny guys" for Jillian with markers too.
  • My oldest wants to go ice skating. I wish we had natural rinks nearby. I need to drive at least 30 minutes to get to a rink. He told me that Wayne Gretzky made his own rinks as a kid. I better keep the hose away from him :)
That's my randomness for today. I better go and play Othello. It's my turn. Happy Thursday!

I bet bows were the "in thing" when you got married. Good luck being cruise director.

I just ordered new glasses for T Rex - he slid off the couch and his are held together by tape!

Men's sweat socks are so comfortable! But I probably wouldn't wear HGs...

Jillian always makes me laugh! Such a funny little girl! I had no idea that you played guitar?! I am so jealous! AND I love to do yoga but it only happens around here in mid aftertoon while Autumn is behind me laughing!

Your snow is our rain ... it's coming down in buckets here in CT, all day long. Tomorrow it's supposed to change to heavy snow. Winter's last hurrah, I guess!

Oh yes ... the fun and messy world of Moon Sand. That stuff is such a mess ... and it looks like it is alive or something.

She wants your husband to be a girl? Oh my! And don't get me started on moon sand. The worst part? I thought it was such a cool toy so I gave it to a few of my nieces for the holidays a few years back and I still get told about it from my sister-in-laws! (Did you win at Othello?)

Thanks for stopping by Write in Amazement. I enjoyed your random post. Aren't kids just a hoot and a holler on a snow day? It's all about hot chocolate, fun, and silly.

Have a wonderful day!

Laughed out loud thinking about the bow on the back of your dress. I saw a prom picture of myself a few years ago and cringed. Apparently I'd never heared of tweezers back then.

Love that Jillian! Hope you are well. Hugs.

Bows make your a$$ look smaller, don'tcha know? ;)

Moon Sand? Bwah hah hah hah hah hah hah! S-U-C-K-E-R. I saw that once at a playdate and immediately realized it was never entering my house. Never. Of course I have this foam stuff that I'm supposed to review sitting on my dining room table. I'm almost afraid to open it.

WOW, I liked your random thoughts because I learned a lot about you. First, I learned that you must live up north because you were out shoveling snow and you have ice skating rinks! You {heart} Grey's like me, you play the guitar, you can cook, you can't see well, you 'do' yoga and at least some of your kids are still young enough to play with 'moon sand' and dislike members of the opposite sex. Oh, and you like to wear sweat socks. WHAT THE HECK ARE SWEAT SOCKS?!?!?!?

Hope you can stop by my blog today. I've stepped by in time and have a video of when my hubby was on the TV show Rescue 911!

Hope to see you there!

Blessings,

Teresa <><

I love the random thoughts, I'm sure it was fun writing them too! I had a huge bow on my wedding dress too, that was just the in thing to do and I wonder too why I needed a giant bow!

Very nice, Kelly! Laughed aloud that Jillian wondered if your husband could become a girl. Too cute! I was just thinking about her with all those boys looking at a recent photo you posted. I also laughed aloud about your muscles not being fond of shoveling wet snow. :-)

Busy times. Busy times.

(Reading your blog the other day: regrets.)

I began my credential program at 44. Finished at 46. I'm in my 12 year of teaching. Back burners are there for a reason.
