Harmonious morning and yoga update

THREE CHEERS FOR MOMENTS OF HARMONY

H
ere is a brother o.k. with losing the game. Testosterone competitive level must be low.

A happy little girl watching Yo Gabba Gabba. She's mesmerized right now by the dancing green guy. This show's creators know how to entertain the young ones.

Restful night for a change. Only one kid came by for a late night visit.

Maybe I'll finish my book today. Do you ever just want to finish a book so you can get to the next one?

Only one time I had to reprimand. That's a record for this summer.

No big mess from yesterday's party. I expected to find pink icing on the couch cushions :)

Yeah! I'm actually feeling quite peaceful today. I have to treasure this feeling.

I know that it's only 11:06 a.m., but a Mama has to hope :) I still have a long afternoon ahead of me. Wait until I hear the groans when I announce that we're off to the supermarket.

Yoga update: I survived my first yoga session. I felt much better after it was over. My muscles appreciated some overdue stretching. The kids thought that Mr. Finger (my exuberant video yoga instructor) was hilarious so they actually watched the yoga tape with interest. They especially liked when Mr. Finger said, "Please separate the fleshy part of your buttocks when you get into position." To my embarrassment, the kids liked repeating this yoga instruction to Jillian's party guests yesterday.

Thanks to everyone for your nice birthday wishes for Jillian! She had a Disney princess party so I am surrounded this morning by Cinderella, Belle and Snow White. I think Jillian wants to keep this princess decor in the dining room indefinitely :) Jillian made sure that only "girls" got the princess plates and cups. My boys were "told" by little princess Jillian that they can find their car plates in the cupboard. This four years old rules the roost!

Yes, yes, yes. I have desperately wanted to finish a book. I almost always make myself finish them even if I don't like them too.

I've been trying to finish the same book for over a month! I am glad the birthday party went well. I hope the rest of your day is harmonious as well!

I'll also take those grateful moments as they come!

Even though T Rex is only 20 months, I think, I too, can hear him groan when I tell him we're going to the store. Funny!

And Jillian's party sounds like a totally success and definitely a memorable party for her!

Sounds like you had a much more relaxing morning than i did. My kids were out of control at the library and the post office. Not sure how I will survive camping with them.

Love the seperate you buttocks comment. Too funny.

Yes, I often times want to get to the end of a book so I can start another. That is unless it is really good and I don't want it to end. :)

Yeah for yoga! (Special thanks to Mr. Finger for "cracking" some butt jokes.) Hooray for some morning HARMONY.

You mean like the last thirty or so pages of The Boleyn Inheritance that I reaaaally just want to be done with? Yeah...

And wow -- only one reprimand? GOLD STAR! How on earth did you do this? I'm quite impressed.

PS I know what yoga pose you were doing with those intstructions ;)

And happy birthday to Jillian!

Glad the yoga is going good and that you survived!

Jillian sounds like the cutest little thing! I think it is hilarious how she treats the boys. Smart little girl!

Love how you spelled out harmony. :)

Got to admit that the only other person interested in spreading the buttocks is my doctor. I think Mr. Finger would be more fun.

My nieces are all into princesses too. Jillian sounds just perfect. I have some old yoga cds too and was doing them for a while but now when I try, I've instantly got Deaglan on my back or grabbing me around the neck - impossible. But I would rather cuddle with him then try to do some of the poses:)

I used to love making poems out of words like my name or other interesting things. Very cool. I hope your harmony made it through the afternoon. ;)
