My Mom and My Daughter

Even though there were loud, active kids running all around today, I caught a glimpse of a moment to treasure between my Mom and my daughter.

Wayward chestnut curls are dancing,
Long loved hands are clapping,
Angel arms are circling,
Softest eyes are smiling,
Hugging bellies are laughing,
Loving hearts are melting.

It was so sweet to watch my Mom and my daughter enjoying quiet, play time together in the "girl" room in my house. Surrounded by baby dolls and Barbies, my Mom was such a wonderful audience for all of my daughter's solo dance performances and tall tales about her doll's adventures. Seeing my Mom take such joy in my little girl is the greatest gift to me.

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope you had a wonderful day Kelly! I love this idea of having a daughter and having your mom have some special time. I had a really great time today despite all my anxieties leading up. Deaglan was baptized. And you know what, you are right, he was so loving and affectionate today taht I felt he must have known that it was a special day for moms.
