Being a yard watchdog for my kids is making me jumpy. If they are outside playing, I find myself hopping from window to window. Sometimes, I just can't get outside because my daughter wants to play inside. I want the boys to enjoy the beautiful weather and play on the driveway. This bully patrol is wearing me out physically and emotionally. I hope that my constant vigilance annoys these boys enough to get them to find some other diversion. Today, we are at the soccer fields, and my mom and sister are coming by for a visit. It will be nice to have some friendly faces around.
Some days, I feel like I'd rather go through labor 4 times again, instead of being nervous Kelly all day. I'm afraid that I'm not equipped for this kind of everyday stress. When the kids are in the house, I feel better. Tomorrow is a school day so I'll be thinking about his upcoming bus ride and school day. I'm trying to plan so many little day trips in the summer. I wish I didn't feel like I needed to run away from my own house. The other parents refuse to step in enough to stop the harassment. They look at my complaints almost like hearsay, since it's not physical or violent. He manages all of this well. I wish I could.
Enjoy your Sunday! Have to make lunch for my hungry crowd :)

I was hoping they would have given up on this. It's even more frustrating that the other parents won't step in to stop this. Tomorrow should be enjoyable~
It's terrible, the bullying! Is your back yard fenced? I hope things improve soon. *hugs*
I can't believe how irresponsible some parents are. It makes me sick. I hope they back off soon. I can imagine how stressful this must be. It makes me wish for the days you watched on Little house on the prairie where you could bring this up at a townhall meeting and have everyone listen.
I hope you have a great day with your mom and sister! Kim
I am so sorry that you and your son and your family is going through this. it is sad how other people can just look the other way when it comes to bullying. i just read the book 19 minutes by jodi picoult...which was about bullying....and people do look the other way to bullying...teachers, coaches, parents, other students.... stay strong!
I feel bad for the situation you are in, especially without the other parents' support. Do these bullies bother their children as well? Like the other commenters say, stay strong, don't back down, and support your son any way you can. I hope things turn around soon, and they turn their attention elsewhere.
Maybe since the other parents don't "believe" you, you could try to get some proof? A video or something? I don't know, it was just I thought I had as I was reading your post. I will remember you in my prayers. It will get better.
Septembermom, I'm really sorry that its creating so much stress for you. That is not good at all. I hope you can find peace and enjoy your time with the kids. All things work together for the good so don't worry : )
Ugh, that is rough. And it's defnitely harder when all the kids don't want to play in the same area. Here's hoping that your vigilence brings them to another easier target sometime soon. You definitely don't want to have to deal with that stress!
I am so terribly sorry. You shouldn't have to deal with this and worry about such things. I hope that everything gets better very soon.
And, if you are serious about going through labor again, I will switch off with you tomorrow. You deliver Aubrey and I will be the watchdog! Sound good? No? Okay, just thought I would try!
I'll bet summer will be better. At least you won't have to worry about the bus situation. You're right, plan some really fun stuff for all of you to do together!
What if you could think of something to do that the bullies would want to take part in? I hate to think of your house being a prison for all of you!
Ugh- I am so sorry that you are having to deal with this! I can just imagine you as a watchdog-mama- way to go you! I think that you are 100% doing the right thing by looking out for/protecting your kids!
