Good Intentions; Poor Follow Through

If I write this list down, maybe I can get some of these things accomplished. It is such a busy time here at my house. We're out at school or soccer activities most afternoons.
  1. I have so much spring cleaning to do. I usually have at least my windows done by now. The weather has been very rainy which keeps me from tackling the window project. I want to go through my closets and purge out all the unnecessary stuff and junk soon.

  2. I still have to get my first garden underway. Again the weather has not been so welcoming lately to this first time gardener. I have to get on the flower track soon. My kids ask me about it every day.

  3. Clutzy me screwed up my nightly walk for exercise and sanity plan. My ankle is less swollen today. I truly looked like Big Foot for three days.

  4. I have a gift card since Christmas. I was going to buy myself some new jeans but I never get around to the mall for me. As you all know too well, it is practically impossible to buy something for yourself when the kids are with you. Now I'll focus on cute summer items. Hopefully, I'll get to the store for me before September. I did manage to get sneakers for two of the boys this Saturday.

  5. Eating better. I was going to be a good girl and cut down on my chocolate and sugary desserts. It's so tough especially at night when I love my one on one time with chocolate. Sorry hubby, but chocolate is hard to resist!
I have good intentions but I seem to let these wish list items fall through the cracks. Maybe I can get my act together this month. If only I could have one extra day a week, wouldn't that be lovely? Happy Monday!

Best of luck getting everything accomplished. I need to follow suit. My house is in bad need of TLC. :)

Any good kids movies out right now that Hubby could go to "with the kids'? Imagine a couple of hours at the mall for you! He could take them for a burger beforehand & give you an extra half hour!

I'm a list-maker too. Sometimes just allotting a little bit of time to certain items, 20 minutes of very focused time, helps me feel like I'm making a dent in things!

Yes, we all have our to do list. I think I would tackle the one I would be dreading doing the most, then the next one and so on. One thing at a time,so you do not get too overwhelmed with everything. All these things are not going anywhere and they will get done. Perhaps you can get some of the family to help out? I love chocolate and sweets too, my downfall! Also, don't forget to add: WRITING, to your list. LOL

I want to move to Mars - aside from being bitterly cold there - there is an extra hour in their day - making it a 25 hour day. I'd be happy with just one extra hour in the day!

In the end, you'll get all your list of items accomplished. Writing it down is the first step in the process for me.

Good luck, take care, and hopefully the ankle is feeling better.

Yep, one more hour, one more day, one more arm/hand - any of those would come in handy...

What is it about chocolate at night!? I can't not eat it!!! I wait until the kids go to bed and then indulge (just a little). I buy good dark chocolate and have a few squares...it's just bliss. I bet if I stopped, i'd finally lose those 5 lbs... But then again, why suffer?

Good luck. I always have a longer to do list than I can ever accomplish.

How about two extra days a week? That would help me get to turn some of my good intentions into actual achievements!! Ah well. We can all dream can't we? :) Hope the foot is soon back to normal size!!

My list looks just like yours...well minus the gift card. :)

I can't stop thinking about your son's bullying situation. I have two young boys and to think I'll most probably have to deal with bullying as well really scares me.
Anyway, I wanted to let you know Wednesday's Oprah is on bullying and how to teach your boys to deal with it. I'm going to tivo it.
Take care.

so much to do in so little time....the weeks seem to be flying by nowadays. i am too feeling the rush of life go by me! i am always behind with housework and barely keep up with laundry around here. you need to pick a day just for yourself and spend that gift card asap, that should be a priority this week!!! : )
