My husband and I are in a romantic dry spell. Where are those energetic days of our 20's?
TOP 5 REASONS FOR ROMANTIC SHUT DOWN IN MY HOUSE
We definitely need some quality and quantity time together :) In the morning, I tell myself to try and make the time that night. By 9 p.m., I'm wiped out and so go my plans. Oh well, at least I have my book and my chocolate. Sorry hubby off in your snoring world :) Love you anyway!- Husband is tired. Sleeping and snoring on the recliner.
- Wife is exhausted. (You see how I upgrade my level of fatigue ten notches!)
- Messy house elves must run through my house to create tons of disorder at night.
- Wife feels not too glamorous. Pony tail, sweats, possibly feeling "bloated".
- Husband's snoring serenades just don't get wife in the mood.
Happy Friday everyone!!

Yep, I know of this all too well lol
Love this! I can certainly relate to a lot of these. Only I believe I am not so much bloated as I am a cow with a calf and I am in my 20s! What is going to happen to us!?!
I hope your chocolate was yummy!
Kelly this is such a relatable topic! There is no romance going on in our household either. I try to find a time and force myself to bring up the subject but like you by the end of the evening I want to get in my pyjamas, have one glass of wine and hit the hay. Very much to my Shaune's chagrin. What can we do?
that was very cute and i know what you mean. both my husband and i are so tired at the end of the day too!
I've heard that finding time for romance is tough when you're married and have kids... I don't know about all of that yet - but I know all about lack of romance due to living an hour and a half away from each other. Plus, I work days and my boy works nights... opposite schedules make things extra tough. We've
learned to make the most of the time we have.
Too funny!
I'm exhausted at the end of the day and I'm only chasing one small T Rex. I don't know how you do it. Don't blame you a bit - exhaustion and snoring don't do it for me either!
Happy weekend!
Romance - what's romance? When I am not tired my husband is working abroad and when he is home I am exhausted. UGH!
I know you have heard this before but, just like you make the time to write, you need to make the time to spend quality time with your hubby. It is so easy to get caught up in the day to day routine of life. You just can't lose sight of each other, because then you are not connecting and won't even know who you are living with anymore. There has to be a time, a day, a moment that the two of you can share, alone. Can someone watch your children once a month for two hours? Make it a monthly date, that is something both you and your husband can look forward to and reconnect again.
Lol, I know what you mean (minus the kids, haha!). Our best time is about between 6-8, when we've had a time to rest from work, maybe grab a snack, and then can have quality time before I (he's a late night person) get too sleepy!
I laughing at number 5! It is so hard to be romantic when you hear your husband snoring, it take the sexy vibe away! Have you tried going on a set date night every week or a few times a month.
My husband and I usually have our date day on Saturday mornings, we go out for breakfast. Just something light at our local cafe and its cheaper than going out for dinner!
This is tough. I hate to admit to being the "old" married couple these days, but we are totally wiped out by the days' end.. between work, toddler, 1st trimester FATigue, toddler, we don't stand a chance.
Thanks for putting out there what many of us are going through!
I hear ya, loud and clear. It's harder and harder to keep the romance alive. Here's to the weekend and a little extra sleep.
I laughed so hard today at this,, So true and I think everyone can relate to it.
Hugs GJ xx
You know, I've noticed that evenings can be the worst time for me because at the end of the day I am so tired! Mornings are better for me... just have to remember to lock the door. :) And I like the suggestion to go out for breakfast together or make a date night/morning. It really helps to spark that old romantic feeling...
Oh, man, I'm in my 20s and sometimes I feel like I can really relate to this list! Can I blame it on being pregnant? Lol.
Oooo, I don't know. How does a snoring husband compete with a book and chocolate? I know what wins in my book ;) Uhhh no pun intended. I swear.
Sounds like you live in my house!! lol I must have a whole village of those messy house elves.
SO FUNNY - SO TRUE...lol
I cannot even tell you how much I relate to this!!!! I'm glad I'm not the only one. And my other secret? I don't really care AT ALL. I could skip sex for the rest of my life and not care. (I don't know if that is actually true but I feel that way right now.)
