I enjoyed reading Kari's answers to this music shuffle meme, so I decided to see what would come up for me. I only have around 200 songs on my MP3. I thought that Dave Matthews would pop up often considering how many DMB songs are on my player. Of course, I had to add my little comments and observations.
Maybe you'll want to play along too?
Instructions:
1. Put your iPod or MP3 player on shuffle.
2. Press forward for each question.
3. Use the song title as the answer to the question even if it doesn’t make sense. NO CHEATING PLEASE!
How do you feel today? Angel by Dave Matthews Band (I hope I can stay "angelic" when my kids start to push my buttons later :)
What’s your outlook on life? Thunder Road by Bruce Springsteen (Now I feel like jumping on a Harley and cruising. I don't think I could pull off the biker chick look.)
What does your family think of you? Fields of Gold by Sting (Glad that a nice one came up.)
What do your friends think of you? Beautiful Day by U2 (I could sing this song all day.)
What do your exes think of you? - A World Without Heroes by KISS (They could say "A World Without Gabbing" - they probably thought I talked too much!)
How’s your love life? - Surrender by Cheap Trick (No comment, but true on some occasions :)
How will your love life be in the future? - Rock Me Tonite by Billy Squier (Probably would've have made more sense to 25 year old Kelly. Now 41 year old Kelly may say Skip Me Tonite -- LOL, sorry hubby. I couldn't resist that wisecrack :)
Will you get married? - Walk this Way by Aerosmith (I did walk down the aisle, and happily I didn't trip. With me, it was a possibility.)
Are you good at school? - Rock, Rock ('Til You Drop) by Def Leppard (I do tend to study until I drop from exhaustion. I wish I was like my brother who could look at something once and get it.)
Will you be successful? - Send Your Love by Sting (Fingers crossed. I need that love :)
What song should they play on your birthday? - Comin' Home by KISS (Coming back to me. Sounds like a good plan for a birthday celebration.)
The soundtrack of your life? - Too Much To Think About by John Mellencamp (True. How could I pick just one song?)
You and your best friends are? -Crazy by Aerosmith (When we start laughing...)
Happy times: Jungleland by Bruce Springsteen (Happy kids playing like monkeys.)
Sad times: If You Want My Love by Cheap Trick (Trying to please the world. That's me!)
For tomorrow: Where the Streets Have No Name by U2 (I hope it doesn't mean that I'm getting lost on my way to the soccer game :)
For you: Come Away With Me by Norah Jones (That's what music does for me.)
What does next year have in store for me? -Look Me In The Heart by Tina Turner (Hope my heart does lead the way.)
What do I say when life gets too hard? Dreaming in Metaphors by Seal (There's a poem here.)
What song will I dance to at my wedding? - Back in Black by AC/DC (What am I turning Goth?)
What do you want as your career? - Stay (Faraway, So Close) by U2 (Staying close to family.)
Your favorite saying? - Dream On by Aerosmith (Depends on if I say it with or without sarcasm.)
How will I die? -I'm Gonna Find Another You by John Mayer (Cool way to think of the rebirth in death. I like that this one came up. Would've been kind of funny if "Rock, rock till you drop" came up for this one. )
