Father's Day

My Dad used to say to me, "Fight the dragons inside." Often, I find myself hearing his voice whispering this advice to me as I fall into self-doubt or worry.

My Dad introduced me to the writing and philosophy of Thomas Merton. There are countless Merton quotes that I could have shared with you today. I decided to choose this one because I can hear my Dad's voice in the quote.

"Perhaps I am stronger than I think." - Thomas Merton

I love you Dad. I miss you. I know that you're watching over us.

Happy Father's Day to all you wonderful fathers! Hope that you enjoy your special day :)

I would like to also send out a HUGE Father's Day hug to my awesome husband who gives so much love to our little gang here. We are all lucky to have you!!

Sunday Citar - Happy Father's Day

Time to share some funny or inspirational quotes for Sunday Citar with Fresh Mommy.

Happy Father's Day to all those wonderful dads and grandpas out there! Big bear hug goes to my incredible hubby who keeps my kids smiling all the time! My kids are so lucky to have such a caring and loving father. All my love soar to my Daddy in Heaven today!

In honor of Father's Day, here are two quotes celebrating the gift of fatherhood:

It is a wise father that knows his own child. - William Shakespeare

One night a father overheard his son pray: Dear God, Make me the kind of man my Daddy is. Later that night, the Father prayed, Dear God, Make me the kind of man my son wants me to be. - Anonymous

Always looking for a chuckle, I also found these two funny quotes:

Women don't want to hear what you think. Women want to hear what they think - in a deeper voice. - Bill Cosby

I hate housework. You make the beds, you do the dishes and six month later you have to start all over again. - Joan Rivers
