How Cupid Shot Me? Go see Diane too and read all the posts!

My always inspirational friend Diane invites us to share "How Cupid Shot Me" on this Valentine's Day!  Are you ready to join in?   Have some fun and visit Diane to read all the Cupid stories linked up today.

Wouldn't it be nice if I had a good Harlequin kind of romance to relate to you all today?  I'll stop for a moment as you most likely are imagining a Fabio kind of guy for the cover.  I have a feeling that Hugh Jackman may pop in your mind too.

Back to the real deal of my romance story.

Now I wish that I could make this more exciting for you, but here goes!

Picture 2 teenage kids working together for $3.35/hour at a five and dime store. Remember those?  We decide to go to one of those Captain Kirk Star Trek movies.  We instantly clicked for the following reasons:

He liked my sarcastic side and my silly side.

He probably liked my leopard harem pants. (Remember it was the 80's!)

I liked that he was a nice guy and not "looking for love in all the wrong places."  Are you all singing it now too?

We like being together.  We are generous with each other. We are always there for each other.

So there you have it.  No huge fireworks going off kind of Cupid moment.  Just 2 kids who figured out that love works well between them.  Now I'm thinking about that Jack and Diane song from John Cougar (before Mellencamp).  Boy, am I dating myself in this post!!

The Jack & Diane song brought some really good memories. And one of these days you have to post a picture of you wearing the leopard pants and I'll post a picture of me wearing my neon orange top!

Accept the challenge, show the pants... grins. Loved this, Kelly, it just proves that romance isn't dead.

This is how real love is … the kind that lasts through ups and downs and years and years. You're blessed.
