Let's all get on our dancing shoes

Oh how my Dad loved this show!! When I was lucky enough to see Riverdance at Radio City Music Hall in NYC, I was pregnant with my first son, John. I remember how our seats were vibrating with this powerful dance. My little baby John was also kicking me pretty good too!

There is such joy, energy and life in this dance. I wish I could move that fast. What a workout!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Wishing you all love, joy, laughter and peace always :)

By the way, this Irish gal is not making corned beef and cabbage tonight. My Italian boys would like chicken parmigiana. I have to keep the crew happy. Maybe I'll do a jig as I'm serving the pasta. Wonder if I remember any of those jig steps? Time to look up a YouTube tutorial. :) Now there's a vlog moment - or not. LOL.

Riverdance has come to South Africa too, but I never got to see them. What I do watch (and listen to) often is the DVD's and CD's of the Irish Tenors. I love those shows because the tenors wring out every single emotion from the audience, from joy to sadness, like only the Irish can.

Happy St Patricks Day, Kelly! Hope your gang enjoy their Italian chicken. :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!

Chicken Parmigiana sounds wonderful.

Preparing Irish Stew with Guinness and making Champ potatoes.

I saw Riverdance in Tampa, Florida, and I loved it!

Have a great day!

Your dinner sounds yummy, Kel. I'm still down and out so maybe by the weekend I will have a chance to fix some corned beef and cabbage, Irish soda bread, champ, and Irish whiskey pie for dessert. Eat hearty. Happy Saint Patrick's Day

I wanted to thank you so very much for your notes and prayers. My mom is doing great - the biopsies came back clear (yeah God) - I am doing good - I too was clear but the Dr. would like me to meet with a surgeon and genetics counselor for further evaluations.. Caution is good!
I too am Irish - tonight we are getting our taxes done - so I am hoping that the "luck" of the Irish will be with us..
Love to you!

I think I saw an ad for another dance special by Michael Flatley.

Not sure if it was for show or a movie, but watching those types of movies are very kewl just the same.

The first Riverdance I saw was on the television and the family jigged about like true professionals. Kidding, of course, but they were definitely inspired by the music and dance. Have a great weekend.

I've never seen it and so want to. How fun - and think of all the calories we'd burn if we did that!

Years ago I was fortunate to see the show - it was great. Later in life I was able to choreograph a very simple Riverdance style dance routine for an Irish festival/fund raiser - it's hard work dancing like that!

I've never seen Riverdance but I know I'd love it. What a beautiful memory that you were pregnant with John and your dad's love. And Chicken Parm???? I think you must be better in the kitchen then you let on. Yesterday Shaune said to me - we should have made something special for the kids like shamrock pancakes - my mom always did. I felt quite inadequate but recovered quickly. Cooking just isn't my strength:)

I saw Lord of the Dance and thought it was good but I never got to see Riverdance, which I understand is less Michael Flatley centric.
