5 things that I did since 6 AM

I'm having my breakfast now after cleaning up a moon sand explosion in my kitchen. Long story. Anyway, look at the five exciting things that I happened to me this morning:
  1. I put the frozen waffle box in the pantry at 6:15 AM. Discovered that "oops" moment 15 minutes later with the kids laughing that their mother is "losing it."
  2. I told my oldest son that I could not argue with him about a basketball shirt when we only had 3 minutes left to get to the bus stop.
  3. Waved my hands in front of 2 distracted sons as I tried to help them study for spelling tests. They looked like zombies as I tried to quiz them.
  4. Slipped on a wet leaf running to the van. Fell on my rump. Nice damp pants for the bus stop.
  5. Excited to invite you over to Mandy's place to read my first guest post ever!
I hope that my afternoon is less dramatic and less accident prone :)

Happy Thursday!

(I'll visit you all soon. It's been a hectic week with soccer practices and parent orientations.)

LOL! I'm glad I'm not the only one who does things like put the keys in the fridge and the butter in the stove...

Popping over to read your guest post! Good luck with all the orientation functions

I'm hoping that somewhere in your morning, you stole 10 minutes and lingered with a hot cup of coffee, which makes the other stuff not as bad :)

I am so convinced that blogging helps us stay sane. You might be well on your way to having a bad day, but when you can stop and write about it, suddenly the humor in the situation makes it all better. It also helps us as women realize that we are not alone, and that everyone has mornings where everything seems to go kaput in the blink of an eye.

P.S. I know that "zombie look" that kids get when you try to help with homework. All too well. :)

Your mornings strangely sound like mine! My oldest seems to want to do things at the very last minute too, as the bus approaches the house. Hope you didn't hurt yourself too badly this morning, and that you find some calm in the midst of chaos at some point today. Heading over to read your guest post now. How exciting!!! ;)

Moon Sand Explosion?! Haha! Go figure! And I am impressed that the oops was discovered so soon- at least you didn't ruin the box of waffles!

Good luck with the rest of your day!

Oh man ... moon sand is a PAIN to clean up.
And I did the same thing with waffles the other day. Our brains are out of sync together.

My son set off the fire alarm at T Rex Dad's employee health center - 300 evacuated. At least production at the plant did not stop - that would have cost $10 million/hour. That was before noon.

Now I'm icing my leg...

What a day. I think I'd prefer your list today minus the leaf slipping.

Are you alright after the leaf slipping incident?

By the way, great guest blog post today. You are way too modest. And I did not know you had a Yankee accent.

oh your poor rump!

I am heading over to read your guest post. How exciting. I've had one. I remember the rush of joy reading the comments from the FOUR people that made their way over to read it. SHEESH.

That morning sounds like one CRAAAAZZZY start to a day. Here's a huge HUG for you. Hope the rump thing is feeling better. I love ya girl.

I'm just impressed that you are up at 6 am and getting so much done. Don't be embarrassed about the wet rump, last week I slipped on spilled milk and gave myself whiplash, couldn't turn my neck for a week. I keep saying moms need worker's comp pay but the govt isn't budging

I found a bottle with a little formula left in it under the coffee table today that I think had been there for over a week. PUKE! I hope you get some rest over the weekend.

What time do you get up?? I suppose if you get up later, there could be less things going wrong by lunchtime.
