It's Microfiction Monday over at
stony river. We are invited to write a story based on a select picture in 140 characters or less (including punctuation and spacing).
When the words wouldn’t fall onto her waiting page, the awakened writer knew that the sea breeze would quietly suggest the next direction.Enjoy your Monday!

The sea is a good muse. Nice story.
What is it about being in nature that helps to clear the cobwebs and debris from our lives? You've captured that idea well.
Lovely! Perfect.
Maybe I'll go stare at this painting for awhile and hopefully it will inspire me! :)
Mmmm, so serene. Seemingly true as well :)
from the viewpoint of a writer! awesome!
Wish I had that kind of inspiration! :O)
and which way did the wind blow?,,,,
Very evocative. :O)
Your one sentence stories are so good, I always want to know more! I think you have a novel waiting inside.
The Sea is always good for Inspiration

I love the thought conveyed here. This kind of thing happens to me. Wonderful Micro-Fiction.

Gorgeous! Thanks for the message. I'm sure you two will connect.
sometimes it actually works like that
Inspiration is found in the most interesting places!
Very well done. I see you sitting there on those rocks!
I love this
I love the direction of this story. Love the "awakened writer." I think most writers can relate. Nicely written here.
Indeed, a new location can get those creative juices flowing again! Good one.
Now that's a true writer for you. Nicely done!
Love it, Mom. I hope she took her sketch pad or notebook. Those ideas come fast. :)
I carry my little black moleskin and camera at all times. That's what blog writing has done for me.
..
When the tsunami hit, she was ready with pen and paper.
Very good. Nothing like a change of scenery to clear the cobwebs.
Nature comes to help when everything else fails.. Fresh MM
Ah, now I know where to go for inspiration.
Nature allows one to relax and then the muse sometimes starts working again.
Breezes can become very insistent!
whatever it takes to be 'heard'-
Thanks.
The sea has been an inspiration to many writers. :)
It is something about the calm of nature that seems to pull out the best of our creativity. Love it.
Any way the wind blows!
Sometimes all it DOES take is a few moments to pause, and our muse DOES help us out.
Any way the wind blows, eh? :)
Hopefully, I can stop by and read it when I'm feeling a little stronger.
I wanted to stop by some of my closest bloggy friends to say hello and thank you SO VERY MUCH for remaining so faithful during this time that I have been so sick and, thus, unable to read and comment faithfully on all the blogs of those who mean so much to me. Please know that I do miss you all AND reading your blog. Most of all, though, I just miss keeping in touch with what is going on in your life! I am hoping and praying that will change really soon.
In the meantime, I hope you will continue to stop by and read what I am able to post and leave comments as you feel led to. They mean more to me than you'll ever know!
I hope the rest of you week is truly wonderful.
Blessings,
Teresa <><
I told the hubby that I need to pop down to to Myrtle Beach for inspiration. *sigh* He didn't think so. :)
I love your words. The sea has inspired many a writer. Just look at Ernest Hemingway. Did wonders for him. :)
nice one. If I lived near water, I would be inspired too!
Oh to have a sea nearby to go visit.... I could use some gentle suggestions :)
Love that! Great job!
Yes, I love sitting in nature...Ahhh, this was very refreshing my friend. ;)
