Poetry Quickfire

Upright

Woman stood alone gathering
pieces of power scattered
around that self history.

Woman sang alone moving
sections of heart positioned
around that open wound.

Woman stumbled alone breathing
words of intent shaped
around that faded desire.

Woman cried alone fueling
acts of creation poured
around that regular life.

This one seemed to flow right out of me. I'm letting it stand and breathe on its own for now. Sometimes I think my poems just have to be released.

Thanks for reading. I'll visit you all soon :)

When I read your poetry, I often hug my knees or put my hand to my heart.... that is how deep and affecting your words can be! :)

I love you, girl! Thanks for your sweet, sweet words this morning.

I wish I understood poetry more than I do. To be completely honest, I am embarrassed to say I have no idea what you are trying to say in this one. However, I know your heart, so I know it must be something good. :0)

This one seems to capture the essence of womanhood. How many times each of us have stood alone in those places. Absolutely beautiful, Kelly.

What a journey we are all on, in some way, shape or form. I'm pulling for the woman to sing again.

Love it! I see a deeper piece of Kelly in this one. Sometimes emotions are the fuel, the driving force that bring forth change. Poetry is one of many ways to voice our pain, desire, frustration even open a vault if you will so the light may shine through. There are many layers here. I want Kelly to stand upright again and sing and dance hand-in-hand with destiny!

Oh Kelly... there is so much emotion and passion and desire wrapped into one powerful poem. I can truly say I relate to the intense emotion coming through, probably for entirely different reasons than you wrote it... well done...

This one left me a bit breathless for some reason. I can feel her loneliness and a bit of despair. Well done my friend. ;)
