I think I can, I think I can...

I don't like how this helpless feeling is hanging over me most of the day. I also think that my brain is exhausted with all the job hunting strategies circling my mind day and night. Time for me to do some positive self mantras. Are you with me?

I'm going to start with I can....and then fill in one word. So as my meatballs are playing around in the pot, I'll sit here for a minute and try to pump myself up with positivity.

I can smile.

I can breathe.

I can feel.

I can laugh.

I can create.

I can joke.

I can dance.

I can sympathize.

I can listen.

I can pray.

I can stretch.

I can hug.

I can Can-Can. Now picture me in a Toulouse Latrec poster kicking up my skirt!! That's a workout. Forget about step aerobics after doing that dance :)

You know, I think that worked. I feel more like me again. Now I see why the self-help section of the book store is always crowded. We all need a little pick me up once in a while.

Uh oh! My 7 year old is salivating for meatballs. I better run. Bye guys!

It's amazing how we can control how we feel so often, just by spinning a different perspective on things around us. I like this Can Plan :)

I knew you could....
this is a great idea, I must pass it on to others who think they can't.... me included.
Thank you so much for your kind words about my little stories. I really appreciate them and guess what... they make me feel that I CAN.

You can offer a great friendship.
You can leave nice comments. ;-)
You can dream (mostly about Hugh Jackman) ;-)

You can make me smile! You can make me appreciate art more with the beautiful pics you share.
You can share a common thread. I too cooked meatballs on Saturday. A new thing and my son loves them. :)

Oh you can do so much more!!
I'm glad you were able to lift yourself up a little bit. Sometimes it helps to remind yourself that you are so much more than the negative or worrisome stuff in your life.

Hugs to you!

We all need a dose of positivity in our daily lives. And we'll need it even more as all the negative election ads start invading our lives. {*grin*}

Yes you can! Good thing my 4 year-old doesn't believe she can read. I'd have to make meatballs if she was looking over my shoulder.
