Received bad news today

Hi everyone,

My husband just called to tell me that he lost his job. I can't believe we're going through this again. Please pray for us that we find a job soon.

If you know of any IT management opportunities in the NY tri-state area, please send me a note. We need all the help we can get.

I'll check in with everyone tomorrow.

Sending all my love your way...

I will certainly lift y'all up in prayer. I haven't blogged about it yet (still not been made public here), but my husband has also lost his job :( I know exactly how you feel. And I guess you've read that were expecting a new little one this year? This economy sucks! But the Lord is faithful...

Oh man, that really does hurt. I'll try to keep my eyes open where I work. There may be a slight job freeze going on overall, but there are certain jobs still available.

If you find the time, please check my state goverment website at http://www.das.state.ct.us/

That is where they have job listings. It's quite possible a few things in the IT field are available.

Oh no! I am so sorry to hear that Kelly. I am praying for you but special, uplifting, morale prayers for your dear husband. It must be such a blow to him being laid off again.

He will find another job. Hey you never know. This search may take you to a new city... just like my husband's job is carrying me away.

prayers and blessings your way

I'm so sorry to hear that, Kelly. Yes, you definitely will be in my prayers. It is so hard on a man when he's the breadwinner and loses his job.

My own husband almost lost his job last week. They laid off half of his workforce and he escaped this round by the skin of his teeth. The last time he lost his job, I worked instead, and it was so rough on our relationship. He felt like he should be the one working and we both subconsciously took it out on each other. My prayers are with you, that you will find ways to uplift and sustain each other through this trying time. I hope he finds something soon. With all of us praying, things will work out, right? :)

Oh Kelly, my heart is breaking for you! I can't believe this awful news. I feel like I jinxed you, since I just asked you about him and the job on Saturday! I take it back, I take it back! Anyway, I'm thinking of you. My husband says to see if there is recruiting firm there called "Tek Systems". They are a reputable firm that is always looking for promising I.T. people and placing them in jobs. Best of luck!

I will definitely include your family in our prayers. I know it must be scary and it is so unfair especially since this is the second time around. There's a company that my husband may get hired with since he's been laid off too, so if they have a division in New York, I'll send you an email.

Hang in there, you've got lots of people praying for you and on the look out for a job for your husband.

Life has a habit of kicking you and quite often it goes from bad to worse, but the situation is always temporary. Sooner or later you will look back from a position of strength at the things you went through. Have a little faith that the very best years are still ahead of you and that all that happens to you isn't bad;) I reckon you still have tons of blessings in your life.

When this happened to me, I was strengthened by the thought of things that the lack of money can't take away...friends, life, good health, a great family and freedom...things that you seem to have in abundance.
Good luck with the blip of a challenge you are facing.

Sending you lots of prayers, hugs and best wishes from Scotland. I know you'll not only come through this, but thrive.

My prayers are with you. I have found two really good job sites. One is Indeed.com the other is USAJobs with the government. He will find something better soon. You know how in relationships you have a long term one and then you break up, then you get the "rebound relationship" consider the last job the rebound job. Well after that you get the real deal. Don't get discouraged, it will come.
In spite of all the negative things going on with jobs folks are starting new ones everyday.

Yuck. Just yuck yuck yuck. And yuck. Keep looking to the prize, I know there will be a great job in hubby's near future. Does his ex-company offer any type of job transition services like resume review, etc.?

I'm keeping you guys in my thoughts.
