Maya reminds me that...
- The world needs me, and I need the world.
- There are subtle ways to communicate and connect.
- We should always question, reassess and maybe question again. Engage in continuous, dynamic conversation with yourself and all around you.
- You can make your own rainbows.
- I am worthy to be heard.
- Walk hand in hand with peace through your day.
I highly recommend adding a "touch of Maya" to your day. She knows how to reach "you."

Maya is a wellstone of wisdom. I haven't read her for the longest time... thanks for the reminder :) We could all do with a bit of Maya in our days.

She's an amazing woman. I saw her speak on a local college campus, and the audience was so quiet listening to her words, you could hear a pin drop. I think we all left there a little changed for the better.
Your words and wisdom make the world a better place - glad Maya has reminded you that you make a the world a better place but I just wanted to add my input as well.
I hope things are settling down after a busy week.

going to have to look into that.
I love Maya's poetry. I don't think I'm alone when I say she really speaks to me as a woman!
Hey, you changed things around again, but I think I like this one more than the last. Btw Kelly, come on by my site for something...
I've only read her a couple of times, but I remember feeling a need to live life to the fullest. I think I could fit in 5 minutes a day for Maya.
I love the one that says you can make your own rainbows. So true.
I should definitely try to walk hand in hand with peace!
She is so wise. I loved reading her in college, and you've just reminded me that one of her books needs to find a place in my reading soon.
Beautiful! Thanks, Kelly. I posted earlier today on a business blog what she said about being a Christian. When asked if she was one she replied, "So soon?" Hopefully, we are all forever becoming... I hope all is well with you and the family, my dear friend.
I love these thoughts Septembermom. These are quite inspirational. I've never read Maya Angelou's essays, but they must be amazing. Thanks for sharing this wisdom and love with us.
Oh, I love Maya! I listen to her on Oprah XM often. So uplifting.
I've heard many wonderful snippets from her. Time go and dig some more up. Thanks!
That is a great idea. Spending time with any great writing is always time well-spent.
Awesome! I love her writing. Thanks so much for the suggestion. I never even knew she had something like that available.

"you make your own rainbows" now that is an excellent picture. You can't stop the rain but you can add sunshine or sonshine to it and create the beauty of a rainbow! Love it!
I really like the thought of adding a little touch of Maya to my day!
I love your new look. Maya is required reading in high school here.
