10:06 AM to 10:08 AM

"Mom, where is my really tiny unicorn?"

"Mom, tell him to stop dancing in front of the TV!"

"Mom, why is my video game buzzing?"

"Mom, all you have are bagels for breakfast?"

"Mom, I'm bored."

"Mommy, the brothers can't go in my room!"

"Mom, are we doing ANYTHING today?"

This is my reality right now. That was a long two minutes. I'm dreaming of the school bus. Six days to go!!!

Maybe two minutes with The Beatles is what I need. Should I be concerned that it's quiet downstairs now? Is it the calm before the next 2 minute storm? It's snowing here, so I think it's time to dig out the snow pants. They can't get into too much trouble outside in the snow until the first one who runs up to me yelling, "Mom, he hit me in the face with that snowball on purpose!" Maybe I'll just make snow angels with Jillian :)

I wonder how many kid comments/complaints/questions I would post covering a whole hour. That would be enlightening. When my hubby emails me to see how my day is going, I could just cut and paste those comments under the header "One hour down, Mommy is still standing."

Woo Hoo! My kids are finally back in school!!!! But this morning was rough. I wanted to make them go to the bus stop 30 minutes early just to get them out of my hair.

So I'm feeling your pain with one at home and no one to play with but you.

It's snowing here, too. It's very pretty, just a steady, light snow. Wishing you a peaceful afternoon to enjoy the winter wonderland.

Ahh, the Beatles... Thank you Kelly! Unfortunately, I have no real remedy for you when it comes to the kids, just maybe some earphones that pipe out a few decent tunes. At least you could jam while the complaining is going on! LOL! I feel your pain, truly I do.

Sounds like a crazy day. Well, at least the kids will be back in school next week. I remember having school vacation and it was awesome. I never thought about the mom perspective. Hope you get some rest and relaxation!!

Mine last a good half hour outside with the snow. It's always the boy who comes in screaming because sister threw snow on his face.
