Word Association Meme with my son's help

Remember how I played the five word association game last week? My 10 year old son (king of the quick answers) is home sick from school today. Well, I decided to enlist his help for today's game. He loves to consider himself the "random" guy in the house, so I think he is well qualified to think up some random words. These are the five words that he gave me: tractor, french fry, wise, geeks and pizza. Interesting to see how his mind works. Considering what is on his mind (apparently food), he must be feeling much better :)

tractor - I thought of a field on a farm that seems to swallow up the horizon. I would love to visit a real farm one day and see all the energy and life that keeps the farm alive. I had a quick flashback of Kevin Costner in "Field of Dreams". I have to watch that movie again. Costner was really at his best. Who knows why the word "tractor" was on my son's mind. We are definitely not farmers in this house.

french fry - My response: salty. No surprise that he said this one. He can eat a whole truckload of french fries if given the chance. The kids are horrified that I tell them how I could go without a french fry for the rest of my life. Now chocolate, that's another story.

wise - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. I was impressed by the many blogger tributes to this remarkable man. His words of wisdom will ring true for generations to come. Once again, I have to wonder why my son came up with this word. Hopefully, it's a sign that he wants to pursue a life of wisdom. He'll have to put down the video game controller first. Mothers can hope :)

geeks - I thought of the word "lanky". I guess I'm thinking of Shaggy. Long limbs and knobby knees. Remember Ichabod Crane? My son loves to throw that term around especially when he wants to get his older brother riled up. He's always acting like he's on geek patrol, pointing out the techie guys. At the dinner table, my husband can get kind of geeky when he talks tech with all of us.

pizza - My first thought: crowd pleaser. This dinner option always works for everyone. Moms enjoy those dinner breaks that only use paper plates and napkins. Quick, fun and easy. Pizza is always on my son's mind. As I type this, he asks, "Can we please have pizza tonight?" I think he had an ulterior motive for choosing that word.

If you would like to play along, I'll give you five words too. My son is out of random inspiration, so I'll be happy to throw some words your way. Enjoy your day!

I started with Arlee-Tossing It Out, then Nancy Sol and now you. I would love to play this game. How about tossing five words my way! After I receive the words and assoicate, do I just pass on? Thanks!

Tractor - Fractor. That's why my son's 3-year old cousin calls them.

French Fry - Hot model guy who just opened up a poutine shop in NY to rave reviews. Poutine is a Canadian delicacy. French fries topped with cheese curds and smothered in gravy.

Wise- Not the word I would use for the recovery efforts in haiti.

Geeks- Geeks, Dweebs and Weirdos, a board game my brother got for Christmas one year.

Pizza - sucks in Sweden in Montenegro. Canadian and Italian pizza rocks.

Love that your son came up with these words. Way to go!

I'm happy to see there are other Scooby-Doo lovers out there. My kids have found the gang too and like them. :O)

Ah, in the journal world we apply Freudian concepts to words.. :) I too once in awhile will write poetry based on random words or pictures. Blessings

I think this is so fun.... Here's what comes to my mind -

tractor - Isn't there a country song called, "She thinks my tractor's sexy." LOL.

french fry - the devil in disguise.

wise - Einstein.

geeks - my husband and all his friends.

pizza - I can enjoy it more, now that I'm making my own from home.

Fun to get your son involved- for some reason french fries sound REALLY good to me right now. Normally, not so much- but right now- look out!
My husband can get geeky with the tech talk too, and he is rather lanky! :)

Great, now you've totally put me in the Field of Dreams mode. That movie came up recently here, too!

French Fries used to be my all-time favorite thing. But now that we've gone without McD's for so long, I really don't much care for them anymore. Maybe I'm just getting old, but they sound gross these days!

Pizza makes me think of Friday nights. We do pizza and movies every Friday. I TRY to do homemade pizza. My dad handed down a to-die-for each pizza crust that I grew up eating so now my family is growing up with it. It's fun to make our own!!!

wowo... i would love to answer it here,, and do give me the next 5 words i will keep them for my upcoming Saturday post! thanks for the last five words but i could mention them in the post, Saturday will be ideal for this fun frolic game..

Tractor: plows my farm in farm ville comes for 5000 coins, and i was cheated some weeks back i bought it for 30,000 coins !@#$%^&*

French fry : prohibited: can't eat doc said no to fried and salty stuff.. how bad :(

Wise : papa : whenever i hear this word or read my dad comes in my mind. he is wordily and worldly wise... not only he studies a hell lot but he has applied it for the good of the society.

geek: my fiance's bro is a geek and he is not a geek but a super geek.. he is married but it appears he married his technicaled computerized machines for solving the various problems he studied in his technical studies. eew............

pizzaa: nostalgia : when my fiance was in India we used to bunk from school and go to nearby domino's or pizza hut every 2-3 days and enjoy a hearty meal of pizza... we both used to gobble this up and never minded those extra tyres on me.. it's been two years since he has gone and whenever he eats pizza in Denmark he misses me very very much ! I have left eating it since he's gone.. i cry.. let him come back will start eating then!

thanks ... throw my way!
