I hope you're having a nice weekend - maybe a quiet one after the holiday?
Those paintings are stunning! And the quotes go along with them so perfectly! I always love coming here to visit on Sundays. An every other day of the week as well!
I don't know where you find these girl, but they're awesome!
Lovely. I like the last one. I said something similar to a friend once. He was always chasing girls and they always scattered like ducks. I told him about being a kid and running after ducks and they run. Or you can sit with bread and they'll come up to you.
I really enjoyed the butterfly quote. (Not feeling vry well today and this lightened my mood. Thanks!)
even after a hundred years, the faces of Renoir's women are so fresh and vibrant.
Kelly - The Faith Baldwin quote produced the biggest smile. The paintings are beautiful.
That first painting is beautiful. I love to go to the art museums and view all of the art I love Renoir
The paintings are gorgeous. I think we have the same taste in art. I want to be transported to that path in Boldini's painting.
Those were lovely quotes ... I think I like the one about happiness being a butterfly the most! I need to remember that -- especially around this time of year. Too often I think I get an idea about what Christmas "should be" and then get disappointed when it isn't quite what I hoped ... when I don't have expectations or chase it, it is more special and happy.
Love the Faith Baldwin quotation. ANd those images make me want to put on a dress and start strolling leisurely about :-)
Love the Nathaniel Hawthorne quote. I think it is so true!!!! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family!!
I think... I really, really think that I need to spend some more time sitting quietly. Hmmm.
Beautiful quotes, as usual!
I love those paintings! Especially the first one, the colors are simply divine. Have a blessed week!
Lovely images and just LOVE the quote about the butterfly. So true!
The quotes were so serene, and you've chosen the perfect prints to go along side them! Perfect for a rainy day as today (here in LA).Thanks for sharing them, and just for a reassurance... I've not forgotten your plight, and I continue to pray for you and your family. I know the distress and worry that finances place on the entire household. Again... i continue to pray.
Heinlein in Stranger in a Strange Land presents the Martian point-of-view on age: kind of like a Russian nesting doll -- simultaneous and increasing. (My paraphrase: We are all the people we have been, and who we are now.)
Happy Thanksgiving! :) I had no idea you were in NYC...me too! we rock!
I love these paintings--just beautiful!! And the quotes are so fitting.Wonderful to meet you!
