YouTube, my giggling boys and 80's rock flashback

Can you believe that I still don't have an Ipod? I'm taking way too long to get one. My kids are enjoying my trips down memory lane when I surf YouTube for some of my oldies but goodies.

Today they were falling over laughing as they made their little observations about this video.

"Mom, he walks like a duck."

"Mom, his pants are super tight."

"Mom, his hairy chest is gross. He should keep his shirt on."

"Mom, I think your taste in music is kind of weird."

"Mom, please stop singing along!"

"You still like this song now that you're old?"

"Mom, don't tell me that this was cool in the 80's?"

"Mom, don't make us watch it again!"

"Mom, this guy must be like 70 by now." (Sorry Jon, you still look good :)

I think my kids are going to drag me to the store to get the Ipod so they don't have to listen to mama background music. Imagine the looks if I teased out my hair and squeezed into those tight 80's jeans (like that's possible) and danced around for my kids. I could hear my oldest son say, "Mom has officially lost it!"

It is fun to look back at that music and even more, the styles! I can see why your kids thought it was funny!

My kids still can't believe that Miley Cyrus sings an 80's song. Yep, Girls just wanna have fun. Now who is cool? Yep, me cause I still know all the words. They were amazed. But your kids observations about the video where hysterical and yes Jon still looks good. I think even better now.

Bon Jovi still rocks. Does that mean I'm now "officially old"?

You're always keeping it rockin' here! The styles may move on, but the music's always great, isn't it?

Nothing like kids to remind you you've seen a few years, eh? ;-)

Too funny and don't feel bad I don't have an ipod either. My son does and when a friend gave me her daughters because it could hold more songs was I interested? Nope. I go for walks with a little tiny walkman. Yeah thats right I still listen to the radio and yes I used the headphones you put on your head because they are the only ones that sound really good. LOL

LOL!!! I'll have to share sometime about an evening when my, then, 14yo son started telling us about the most COOL SONG EVER!!! Stairway to Heaven!
We laughed so hard, we cried. Then we pulled out the vinyl!!!

Being old is under-appreciated by the young.

Being young is over-rated by the old.

Be here. Now. -- said the guru.

No matter how old you are.

It's funny because Jon Bonjovi has aged really well. I still LOVE him!! I found an MP3 player for Shaune at Walmart for 12.99 and it holds a ton of songs. He also uses it as a flash drive.

I don't have an Ipod either but everyone else around here does. Thanks for taking me back to the 80s. And yes, Bon Jovi looks better now than ever! Enjoyed the post.
