Tot Talk Tuesday

Here is something that Jillian said after I went to a class parent meeting.

"Do Mommys ever stop talking?"

And then she said:

"You all say the same things over and over again."

I think my husband was nodding his head in agreement.

Visit The Monkeys and Me to see what all the tots have to say.

Can you believe that I was picked to be class parent for two of my boys this year? It will be a challenge since I'm watching my 3 year old nephew while my sister goes to school to be an LPN. He is a climber and risk taker so my days are crazy right now. I hope to visit everyone's blogs tonight. I have to get the three boys to religion class this afternoon and soccer practices are all week. On your mark, get set, go....looks like a busy school year ahead!

Happy Tuesday!

Very funny.

Making we wouldn't repeat ourselves so much if anybody actually listened!

Jillian should have asked: Do mommies ever get to stop??? Doesn't look like it. Shaune would be all over that comment too. But I agree with what K says - if people would listen than some of us wouldn't have to repeat!

Hope you get some time to yourself!!

As for your year - you can do it!!!

Kelly, my 3yo daughter spent all day referencing a bad dream about a pirate poking her in the back with a sword. My best friend came over and said her back hurt...Norah looked her over and said, "Well, I don't see any pirates." What a relief!

That's funny because in self reflecting I realized I repeat everything I say.

=) You are the first person to stop by my daughters blogs! I only started them to reference them in my main blog. After creating them I totally forgot about them, until this week! haha! maybe thats why we repeat so much, we forget so much!

You must not need sleep.

Did I ever tell you about how I feel about people who don't need sleep?

I remember the old Art Linkletter show (way before you were born, no doubt), called "Kids Say the Darndest Things" -- I think yours would qualify for the show. Ha!

Hey Septembermom,

You have a busy week ahead of you. Best wishes and God bless : )

OK so when do you have time to change into your super hero super mom outfit? I can see it now, class mom (times 2) flies into classroom feet never touching the floor, poof's out again back to leap over tall couches to catch climbing 3 year old before they fall off the back of a chair they just climbed; then zap into the kitchen to whip up some dinner,..... zoom off to tell said daughter her good night story when you finish she asks "Mommy can you read it again?!?!?"... Than whip everyone into bed, make sure everything's ready for tomorrow, and thump... super hero mom flops into bed to recharge her super mom strength for another routine day..... :-D smiles!! Love and Light, Nina P

I was the class Mom for two years for my daughter. The next year, she asked me to NOT be the class Mom. :(
Oh to be a drama queen at 6 & 7 years old! Sheesh!

Children say the darndest things. (We do well to listen.)

Mixed congrats on the class president...

One of the problems of being capable is being overly chosen. There is an art to saying "no" as well. "No," is an option. So is, "Let me think about it." Moving forward towards your goals at a sustainable pace... is hard to do if you over-commit.

I'm sure you'll do fine... just saying what it took me a decade or so to learn when my kids were growing up. "God loves a cheerful giver." I knew I was over committed when I was no longer cheerful in my giving.

Have a great day!

Mommy's do talk a lot don' they? :)

Good for you for being a room mom for two of your kids. I did that for 9 years and even though it can be hard work, it is rewarding!

Good luck!

I'm sure for you it will be exciting to see what career path she takes. She surely seems like she will make her own way, as if she will make a difference at home and work. Blessings!

It's a blessing that you are there for your sister as I hope she is for you. So, how is Jillian getting along with her little cousin? Does she try to help him? She seems like a leader.

Oh Jillian ... wise before her time!

And I don't know how you are going to juggle all this!
