I'm so excited to share this secret with you! I'm Sneaky Momma's Secret Sneaky Friend today. I answered a bunch of fun and interesting questions from her blogging buddies. Jump on over to Sneaky Momma to read my answers. Happy Tuesday!
loved reading that interview. since i don't know you in real life it gave me basic background info. also, you do not look like you could be in your 40's!
Septembermom...I had to jump on here an comment about your win on PPP...the visit to the fair. Your narrative...whether you realize it or not will strike home with so many and the feelings you evoked are right on target! I was with a Pharmaceutical company for about 24 years and worked my way up to the point where I was dealing with the vice-presidents on a consistent basis...very successful career. In March of 2008...a larger Pharma company bought us out and our division was downsized...leaving many including me without a career overnight. Suddenly at 60...I was too young to retire but too old to be hired...hiring authorities will never admit that but it is a fact of life. I for one am lucky however...my son is raised and on his own...but I feel for so many fathers out there that are dealing with this and the effect that it will have on their psyche. Your post is one that I will remember...so poignant and true.
Thanks again for being a guest on my blog. I loved getting to know you better! :) It was nice getting to see a photo of you, too. Tell your high school self that she doesn't know what she is talking about. I love your curly hair!
Ok...i also read your interview...I thoroughly enjoyed it...ironically...I was just telling Zach yesterday that I had just watched the "Pink Panther Strides Again" for the 4 millionth time and laughed as hard as I did the first time I saw it! I, of course made him sit through a recounting of all the site gags!!!
First, congrats on your PPP win! Sometimes I forget, sorry. Second, congrats on being featured! Now I know a little bit more about Kelly! How you met your husband would make a nice romantic story. I hear Harlequin has contests on their website (for real!) Anyways, enjoyed the post as always. Keep blogging!
I loved reading your interview and enjoyed your answers! We have a lot of similarities, curly hair, oil of olay moisturizers and I also thought when i first met my husband, "Wow, he's cute and he doesn't look like a criminal."
First, you mustn’t let your husband totally off the hook. Second, your son's observation made me laugh and satisfied that he was wrong. The outfit DID fit! Third, I think you need a pedicure. You did so well this summer. Please forward an address. You know how to reach me.
This was a really fun read. I really cherish learning new things about you Kelly! I wish I lived closer because I would kidnap you and take you out for a pedicure and a beautiful lunch!!

That was such a cute story about your son and Elmo! I think I would be taken back a bit to find Elmo in the ladies restroom as well! ha!
Love the new blog design by the way!
