Friday High Five

I'm sneaking in my Friday High Five, hosted by Angela over at Angela's Adventures and Minor Mishaps. Jump over to Angela's blog to join in the fun. My list was inspired by a recently uncovered picture of me at 17. My kids got a chuckle at my expense:)

FIVE OF MY WACKY
FASHION DECISIONS WHEN I WAS 17

  1. Red leopard Hammer-style pants
  2. Long earrings that looked like a solar system project
  3. A shirt that looked like a cat tore into it
  4. Some kind of overly buckled boot/shoe type of footwear
  5. HUGE pocketbook with fringes galore
I remember thinking that I was pretty cool. Most of my money went into these crazy outfits. I guess I'll not be too judgmental when my kids want to "express" themselves in unique ways:)

I think you forgot to post the picture. The good news is that I can TOTALLY picture all of that. Can we get a description of your hair though?

Michelle, no scanner for that photo, gratefully! My hair: long, curly, heavy metal band furry :)

Better to express with clothing and accessories than odd piercings and tattoos!

I think we all went through those awkward fashion stages. I used to have HUGE bangs!

Oh the good ole days! I think we all probably looked the same. I was a stirrup pant girl myself. I'll bet you'll be a very tolerant mom when those boys begin to express themselves - shouldn't be too long:(

Of course. But we looked great and they just look silly:)

I may have had similar items in my own wardrobe -- back in the day -- as Abby likes to say.

LOL Man these sure do take me back to my teenhood. We must not be far apart in age because I'd have to say much the same!

Pictures, please. :-)

You were totally in style then though!!! If you can dig through and find photos, we'd be so appreciative!

I agree with everyone else, you should definitely post a picture of that! You probably were the most stylish thing on the block then!
