Take a Chance Reading Challenge
Creative and inspiring Jenners, over at Find Your Next Book Here, is hosting a terrific reading challenge. This challenge is all about taking chances in your reading. It runs from June 1, 2009 to November 30, 2009.
Here is a brief description of the challenge from Jenners: "There are 10 tasks in all -- 7 involve finding a book to read in very random ways. The last three tasks are about taking chances as a writer as you are challenged to take on the role of short story writer, poet and movie/book reviewer. The challenge is meant to be fun and no pressure. Complete as many or a few of the 10 challenges as you want. However, the more you complete, the more chances you'll get to win the grand prize."
Guess what? The grand prize is a $25 worth of books from Amazon :)
I think this will be a fun way to expand my reading horizons! If you would like more details about these fun reading tasks, please hop over to her guideline post.
I'm on my reading challenge book hunt now. Hope to share my first book challenge with you soon!

I want to do this one, but I'm afraid to commit to it, then not be able to finish it (for lack of a bookstore in my town).
I might do it on the down low and only blog about it if I get it done! Haha.. is that cheating?
I start school in two weeks and I think all my reading will be textbook related. Keep us posted so I can live vicariously through you!
Oh, so many good ones I'd love to read. Almost done with Catcher in the Rye, just started on two more...multitasking reading at its finest!
Can't wait to hear what you pick out!
Yay! Glad you are doing this challenge, too. I am looking forward to it. Can't wait to see what you choose!
good luck to you! this does sound like a challenge! what a grea way to grow in reading and writing!
Terrific idea to keep people reading. Sometimes we do get in a rut, in a way, reading pretty much only our favorite genre. It's nice to expand into other books, to be aware of the different styles.
Nice to meet you. I stopped by from Mari's blog. I'll be back again soon.
This could be fun -- my library is having a summer reading thing, too, with challenges requested. I'll have to go check that out!
Oh, that does sound fun! I love books so much! I will pop over and read about the challenge now!
I'm so happy you are doing this! It will be fun to see what books you get!
