Listen to music

Maybe I was a musician in my prior life. Sorry to say that I have no musical talent, but I follow where music leads me creatively, spiritually or personally.

Music caresses the soul; music shapes experience.

I try to make my world full of music. Songs like this one can bear much fruit for me.

Enjoy the beauty of this Beatles' favorite. I can listen to this 100 times and still feel like it's a fresh, moving experience each time. The lyrics and melody are amazing. Timeless.

You just can't beat the Beatles. Classic.

Very good song. I have always felt that music fills my soul. I sometimes will play the same song over and over again. Drives my kids crazy. Yet the other day one of them was doing it also.

This is such a timeless song. I used to listen to Sargent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band over and over when I was in my early twenties. It makes me a bit sad that I have let that part of me - appreciating music sort of go. I would love to introduce Deaglan to some of my old favourites.

Hope you are feeling a lot better Kelly! Sorry I've been so out of touch.

I love this!! It is so very true! Music fills the air, the heart, the soul.
Lets keep the melody strong! Love and Light, Nina P.

Your talent is in your writing. I've never been all that great with words but I have been a musician most of my life and for that I am most grateful. Good thing all of us have different talents to keep this beautiful world interesting.

Oh yes, hubby is a HUGE Beatles fan. So we get plenty of the goods played around here. And it helps that both he and I were music majors in college.

Thanks for the vid!

I used to be music obsessed but have kind of let it behind a bit. This is a good song!!! I was a Beatles fanatic in grade school when I "discovered" them myself (years after everyone else). My dad got a great chuckle out of that!!

I feel the same way you do about music, especially live music. There is something in the art of it that truly moves me. Love this song. We went to an Aerosmith concert this past weekend, and they closed with the Beatles' Come Together. It sounded wonderful.

Ooh, the Beatles :)
One of my all time favorite bands. Their music always gives me peace of mind and makes me happy. I got my love for them from my dad, who is a HUGE fan.
I've never been big on tattoos, but for a while I seriously considered getting, "Let it Be" inked on in a pretty cursive font. Just as a reminder in difficult situations. There will be an answer...

I love it when music speaks to me! And I bet your kids are picking up on your love of music and some of your favorite pieces, too. That's always so cool to see them having the same likes as you, isn't it?

2 things:
1st...even my 23 year old son loves the beatles and he is all about the progressive music of today...they are truly timeless and began a complete change from the individual stars (Sinatra) of the 50's to the bands of today. The are without a doubt...my favorites.

2:
You poem on PPP completely sums up my feelings about music...it was beautiful and I have saved it to my word program so i will always have it:

Life's chaos halts,
when music lingers on.

Life's routine diverts,
when music turns a head.

Life's pain lessens,
when music cradles the soul.

That was for the folks who did not see it on PPP.

Thanks for a great piece of poetry.

Dan

Hi Kelly,

I'm agreeing with Dan on your poem and poetry. You words caught my eye over on PP&P. I ventured here yesterday, and I'm back for more. I've got a daughter who's a mother of two, with twins on the way. I think she'll enjoy your perspective as well. I'm passing you on! (But not passing on you.) Thanks for being here.

I am a beatles fan, and yes those words are so good..

About three years ago we went on a beatles tour in Liverpool. That was so good. We went on a nineteen sixties bus and round all their haunts and houses. I enjoyed it very much..

Nostalgia . nowt like it..

Days of innocence. Weren't they just adorable and funny! You have a real talent for sharing your feelings through your poetry. I hope you're keeping them all in a journal or on your computer for your kids. What a treasure that will be to them.

We just saw Rain (a Beatles tribute) and my 12 year old son is now a huge Beatles fan. I have 5 kids and up till, then none of them really care for classic music. I hate that because I love and share all kinds of music to my kids. It must be maturity and following the popular culture. I have to work on them more.

My world would be a sad place without my music. I loved this post, it brought back all sorts of nostalgia. Thank you.
