Let's make it a happy Wednesday

Grab My Hand Again and Again

Those may say to put it away,
uneasiness should not rule my day.

Those may say he has to fall,
watch quietly as he toils through.

Those may say that such is life,
the young must struggle at times.

Those are not with me in the quiet hour,
aching as I visit my sleeping son.

Those do not know a mama's heart,
struggling to make things right.

Those hear me now in this verse,
sending life lines through my love.

Son of mine walk through the crowd,
Know that my arms forever reach you.

Thanks to everyone for your kind comments and wonderful advice. It gives me so much comfort to know that I have such caring, blogging buddies :)

Gratefully, my son is a trooper. He goes off to school with a smile on his face and looks forward to a day with his friends. I've become a bit of a watchdog after school. I'm foiling the bullies' attempts to get access to my son for taunting. They can't have their "fun" when I'm close by. Since I have so many little kids, it looks perfectly natural for me to be outside enjoying the fun with all my kids. Hopefully, they will get bored and move on to something more constructive.

I'll keep you posted. If the parents give me a chilly reception, maybe I'll just bring a sweater:) Happy Wednesday! I will try (fingers crossed) to have a happy one too!!

What a non-confrontational way to keep them at bay! And it doesn't embarrass your son. Bravo.

I love how you express yourself through poetry. :)
Hang in there. To say I am not looking forward to going through these growing pains with my girls in an understatement.

Beautiful poem, and it sounds like a good solution, to have a presence outside with your children. I like that you're standing your ground in this gentle way. Hope those kids move on soon. Sending you Wednesday happiness wishes!

Nice versing! I had a thought when you said "I've become a bit of a watchdog after school." What if you stayed a distance away, hidden in the trees or something, and video taped them!!! :) Their parents would have no argument considering the evidence! :) Just a crazy, outlandish, gutsy suggestion of mine... lol. I hope you really DO have a great day. Glad to know your son is a trooper.

This is a lovely poem...I love that you are stepping in for your kids. I'm sure your son appreciates it. Besides, if your son goes through a growth spirt, I doubt they'll be messing with him : )

A Mom's gotta do whatever she thinks is necessary to take care of her babies. Good for you!

Lovely lovely thoughts. Read your previos posts and SO SORRY this is going on for you and your boy. I really can't imagine other moms being so unaware or so naive as to think that it could all be his fault. They need a wake up call, and you might just be the person to give it to them. Be brave, be humble, but be honest and forthright too. If that were me, I'd be doing the same thing you are. We have to be mama bears sometimes. Praying for a peaceful outcome to thi situation, xoxo

Your poem sums up how I feel about my own son and I wouldn't doubt countless other parents out there who want to protect their children.
