Wouldn't it be great to have these little luxuries once in a while:
* Warm morning shower without interruptions
* No laundry for a week
* Energy to finish a book chapter at midnight
* Phone conversation without whining or fighting in the background
* Everyone likes mom's dinner choice
* Homework voluntarily done with a smile
* Everyone finds their own socks and underwear
* Mommy can wear nice clothes that stay stain free for the whole day
* A mini-van free of toys, cracker crumbs and wrappers
* A day without hearing "I'm bored."
* Mommy can watch her TV show on the big TV during prime time
* Extra sleep, sleep, sleep
It's nice to have dreams :) Off to sort that heaping mound of laundry.

Haha! Something to look forward to when I have kids, lol!
You'll get there Mommy! It's called empty-nest syndrome! :)
It's the laundry that gets me most! It seems a neverending cycle ;)
wow, i dont mind the extra zzzzzzzzz part!!! :)
LOL. I made a list of things like this, titled it "Everyday Luxuries" and posted it on the fridge as a hint to the hubby.
One of mine was a shower alone. (my 4 year old can't stand when I take a shower so he usually comes in with me.) Also, a vacuum that works, things put away where they belong, a clean kitchen, (that I didn't clean myself) and the TV to be off more than it's on. :)
We can dream.
I'd take any one of those! But they're only little once so I try to enjoy every moment possible.
Very nice wish list...sigh..
Enjoy your monday!
Oh wouldn't sleep be nice.
Thank you for all of your kind words when you visit. I look forward to your thoughts and am glad we met in this virtual world.
These are little luxuries, aren't they? Sounds like a good roadmap for MOTHER'S DAY coming up!!
I second everything on that list!! I could also add a quite a few!!
OY tell me about it. The laundry is burying me!
Awwww,
You deserve some sleep. You should enforce a mommy free zone in your home and set some time to yourself. I hope you get a few of these items on the list. : )
What a great list. Although what about just a day without a minivan? You know... where you get to not be a mom for once? :)
What if you just got one of those a day as a Mother's Day present? What a great idea?
Oh that would be heaven...especially the extra sleep. Have fun at the parade tomorrow :). I have already been eating Irish soda bread...thick cut, slightly toasted with butter and tea! Happy St. Pat's :)
The same things would apply to dads as well.
Except for the shower thing, everything else would have to be modified for me (8 & 16 year olds), but the sentiment would remain the same.
I have a teenager, but a lot of these things still apply. Actually for him and the hubs! LOL!
Well except I don't do laundry - the hubs takes care of that.
Thanks for stopping by!
oh boy! that sounds like bliss! absolute bliss!!! ahhhhhhh...
Oh My! This is my wish list .... but just double the sleep part!!! No wait ... quadruple it!
