Microfiction Monday

Here is today's prompt for Microfiction Monday over at stony river. We are invited to write a short, short story using only 140 characters (including punctuation and spacing).

Old Hank saw the note on the fridge. “Grandma likes a good dare. Wish the kids didn’t dare her to go cross country. I need my eggs.”

Thanks for reading!

Stephani,
Gotta love Old Hank always thinking about himself! He should have gone with her! Would have been a trip they could talk about the rest of their lives! LOL!

Wonderful, Mom. I read it twice to get my characters straight.

Too bad Grandma took her eggs. I'd send Old Hank for them pronto. And have him bring Grandma back for me too if he could.

Well, if grandma is going to do a dare, she might as well do it big. Loved this! :)

Ha! Love your sneaky humor in these things.... really brightens my day, especially on a day where I'm stuck in bed with my laptop and dealing with strep throat! Thanks Kel!

And thank you again for your wonderful guest post. It was a huge hit! :-)
