I Tip My Hat To My Blogging Buddies!
Two of my lovely blogging buddies sent me such cute things to flaunt around town.
I've always loved hats, so I was thrilled to win this terrific, fun hat over at Mimi's wonderful blog, He & Me + 3. I haven't had a new hat in ages. This win was a real treat for me. I actually wore a similar plaid cap on my first date with my hubby. Even at 18, I enjoyed the playfulness that a hat can add to an outfit. My outfit at the time is gratefully not as memorable. It was the 80's, so I was probably wearing some kind of harem pants, leggings, or leopard print. Imagine that I thought a plaid cap went with that kind of outfit! Sorry to say that fashion sense never seemed to be part of my repertoire.
Thank you so much Mimi! I've already received a bunch of compliments from the other stressed moms at the bus stop. Mimi also sent me a pair of the cutest socks. They are cool and comfy. I told my kids that they are "socks with character". Another time when my oldest son just looked at me with the expression, "Okay Mom, whatever works for you."
Can you believe that the always sweet and talented T-Rex Mom over at T-Rex Mom and Dad Tales actually made this beautiful bag for me? She puts so much care, love and creativity into all her sewing and craft projects. When I opened this prize from T-Rex Mom, I was like a kid in the candy store. My kids wondered why I was so excited to open up a package actually addressed to me. They don't seem to think that mommies get presents too sometimes! Along with the beautiful color, I love the flower and butterfly print. My daughter, Jillian, likes the bag so much that she sneaks away with it and struts her stuff in the mirror. Anything with butterflies makes Jillian smile.
Thank you so much! Remember that I will always smile and think of you each time I see this lovely bag. T-Rex Mom, you know I think you should open up a little business. You've got talent :)
It's 9:44 p.m. What do you think I should do next? a) watch Bridget Jones' Diary b) haul laundry to be folded upstairs or c) wipe down the bathroom
I know what a tough decision :) Colin Firth and Hugh Grant vs. 126 socks and sticky toothpaste
I'm off to the DVD player. Romantic comedy is calling.
