See me jumping up and down waving to you?!! I'm back!

Well, that was an eye opener.  Have I been gone that long?  I see that Blogger has changed things up around here.  I'll need to be semi-awake to make sure that I publish this post correctly.  Grab a few Hershey kisses and I'm sure that I will get right back in the saddle.

Random posts always serve me well when I need something to share on the spot.  A few random observations from the past few weeks should do it.  Let's see what comes to mind:

  • If I hear one more of these kind of comments on TV or print, I think I'll scream: "Doesn't she look good for her age?  Can you believe that her body looks that good for a 40 something year old ?"  Does the media really want us to believe that the remaining 98 % of 40 somethings are heading downhill fast?
  • Love that smile on my little daughter as she loves her new Barbie bike.  It's wonderful to see the joy she feels as she wobbles down the street on her training wheels.
  •  My pots and pans drawer in my kitchen doesn't want to stay organized. Avalanche waiting to happen.
  • I'm rocking an ankle bracelet this week.  Why not?
  • You don't want to ask about how many volunteer weekly hours I put in during this school year. We're talking double digits.
  • My boys are talking hockey 24/7 these days.
  • Humidity plus my Shirley Temple hairdo equal three more inches to my height due to frizz factor.
  • Guess who got a Kindle?  My son laughs because I download the free classics.
  • There is something about Pinterest that draws me in each day.  Have you tried it?
  • So what have you all been up to these past weeks?  I'm knocking on your door soon :)

Okay, I'm watching my body change DAILY. Whose skin is this??? Certainly, not mine.

Any little kiddle learning something new is awesome.

I had to give up on pots and pans being organized since Hubby dries. I realized that when Hubby puts them away, he can't organize and it just made me mad. Not a battle worth fighting.

Love ankle bracelets!

Want BIG hair...go to TX!

Love Kindle!

Been knitting, traveling, enjoying new scenery.

Oooh you're back. It's great to see you. Love your little incidentals... especially the one about the Kindle. Isn't it nice being able to download a book in seconds?

As for volunteer hours... don't you think a volunteer does more because she/he has more commitment. Just a thought.

Thanks for reading my blog almost in it's entirety... you read soooo many posts and I'm really grateful.

Good to see you back! Sometimes a short hiatus is necessary; I know, I've been there. I had to giggle at your humidity/hair observation. I wonder what our Louisiana humidity would do to your do? Sounds like things are going well for ya! Welcome back!

Welcome back to your digs! Hope your break was nice {if we're sending weather your way, which we normally do, it's cool and totally dry here today, so the hair should be calm soon! lol}

Ahh it felt good friend to have you knock on my door! Hockey is all we talk about around here too- we're gearing up for a month long camp as soon as school is out this week. Zach Parise was here for Cully's kids last summer and my oldest got to drive around with him in a golf cart all afternoon :) Doubtful he will be back however if they actually win the cup- otherwise I'd so be getting an autograph for your nine year old :) I have no clue how to fix your template- sorry! Look at Sneaky Momma's design tips blog maybe?

Yes I too hate those ads but I hate even more that they are using 20 year olds to sell aging cream. Are they kidding??? Are we to believe that without the cream this flawless 20 year old would have wrinkles? Welcome back my friend. It's been a struggle for me too.

I'm glad to see that you're back. It's odd going in and out of blogging, isn't it? But oh I can't do Pinterest. I know what would happen were I to do so, and my sanity just can't take it. There is SO much cool stuff out there though!

Not sure when it was that you took a well deserved break from blogging, but I unveiled the cover to my upcoming e-book "Line 21".

If anyone is interested, you can see on the front page of either my regular blog or my book blog, both of which can be found on my profile.

Hi Kelly,

It seems like we've both been too busy blogging! I go in random spurts! I was chuckling reading your first random thought about the media- I never thought of it that way, but you're absolutely right. Especially since I'm 41 years old and headed to age 42 this year.

Have a great day!
