Prayer requests

I feel lost and sad today.  It has been an upsetting week. My cousin, Gerri, was killed in a car crash on Sunday.  A man ran a red light and hit her car.  Her 11 year old granddaughter was in the car. Gratefully she wasn't injured. I can't imagine the grief of that young girl.  Gerri was a wonderful woman who loved life and shared her joy with everyone.

Please pray for Gerri's family. They are hurting so much.

I would also appreciate your prayers for me as I am having trouble with my youngest son.  He is having extreme angry outbursts and emotional breakdowns. I don't know what to do.  I feel like I can't reach him. I'm overwhelmed this morning.  I pray that I find some way to know what is going on with him.

Thank you my friends. - Kelly

Oh sweetie, I will cover you in prayer! I'm so sorry for this tragic loss in your life. I will pray for the peace that passes all understanding for your cousin's family and for her granddaughter and her tender heart!

That sweet boy is so much like my own oldest- and he may simply be the emotional barometer for all the trauma you all are feeling right now... but they don't have words like we do to apply to what they feel. Just be there for him and love him through it, reassure him his intense feelings don't scare you... see if he'll journal for you... just hang in there!! Love you sweet one and will have you wrapped in prayer!

What a shocking week. I am so sorry to hear this.
It's comforting to know that she had such a good friend in you, was happy, loved life and shared it so freely. A life shared is never lost. I do feel for those left behind though. It's tragic. Your request for prayers is not unreasonable and will not go unheard.

As for your son, you can only love him and be there for him without the expectation of reciprocation.
You will be stronger and wiser and things will certainly improve...even if it means heartache for a little while yet. I don't know of anyone in my circle of friends (including myself) that hasn't had similar experiences, and we all laugh now...but we didn't laugh at the time.

Oh Kelly, it is times like these that I wished we lived closer so I could come over and give you a humongous hug. I am so sorry to hear about your cousin. What a tragic loss. Yes, definitely I will keep you and your family in my prayers, especially for that poor granddaughter who witnessed the event.

Has your youngest son been feeling this way even before the accident? Is it possible that there are events at school that are bothering him? My own son used to exhibit some of those characteristics, and I found that he was so stressed about school. I liked Vicky's suggestion about journaling, and sometimes art expression helps a young boy too, when they don't know how to put their feelings into words. My prayers are with you. I know you are such a good mom, and you must be so heartbroken to see him hurting. Sending you my love and prayers across the miles...

I am so sorry to hear about the tragedy and troubles in your family. Prayers for your cousin's family. May they find healing in time. As for your son, is he being bullied in school? I hope not.

Dear Kelly, our prayers are with you. I feel so sad for your loss and can only imagine what you much be going through with your son. Please email me if there is something I can offer. A trip to his doctor could help to make sure it isn't something physiological like low vitamin levels or a thyroid issue. A blood panel can rule those things out.

I am so sorry about your cousin Gerri. I know you feel overwhelmed with what's going on with your son, but there are resources (I speak from experience of helping my BFF find help for my godson). I'd be happy to share with you. I'll be praying for your entire family.

I am so so sorry. I can't imagine the feelings of loss on your cousin in such a horrible and tragic way. And I"m sure the person who killed her will spend a lifetime trying to recover from it.

And I pray for you and your youngest son. Nothing can be as hard as feeling unable to help your child. I know a bit of what you are feeling and it is beyond difficult.

Prayers and hugs for you, my friend.

It's a sad time for you and the family. I am praying for you all. I wonder if your son is feeling scared and unable to handle the news of the bereavement. Like everyone says, just be there for him and don't expect too much of him right now. All will out, in the end. Be strong for him, my friend, even if you feel weak inside. Hugs from me.

Oh my wonderful friend, I'm sending a big warm comforting hug your way. I'm so so sorry to hear about Gerri and that poor child to have to be there and witness it. I am praying that you hang strong like I know you can through whatever it is that Joseph is going through. I just know that you are a wonderful mom, and I know that whatever this is, your presence in his life will help him get through it.

I'm so sorry to hear the news Septembermom. My prayers are with Gerri's family. In regards to your youngest, do you think he is experiencing bullying at school or other issues? That worries me with kids. I hope he'll be okay. Maybe when you have parent/teacher meetings, the teacher may be able to pinpoint things they see in the classroom. I hope things get better dear!
