Stealing some blogging time

I was making play doh pizzas with Jillian a few minutes ago.  They were quite colorful.  Remembering dinner, I ran upstairs to check on the turkey breast in the oven and decided to sneak in a blog post.

Let me think of a few things that I learned so far this week:

  • My boys tease me that they don't want "thinking" wives who talk too much.  Hey, is that a playful shot at me?
  • Jillian loves dance like me.  Hopefully, she's more coordinated.
  • My bathtub is not made for an adult to use.  You should have seen me trying to get into some kind of position that would help me get that oatmeal bath water on the poison ivy rash.  Crazy yoga kind of moment.  I need a luxury tub apparently.  Mr. Trump, do you have an extra to spare?
  • Why do I have to have a show and tell moment every time someone asks me about the poison ivy?  I find myself saying, "Wait until you see this" and then show off my arms. Why can't I just keep it as my little itchy secret?  It's much better today by the way.
  • I need to bring a laptop to the bus stop so I can blog.  That's where I feel like I spend most my time.
The play doh pizza chef is calling for me.  I better get going.  Maybe I'll do a midnight visit to your blogs.  Now if only I could stop dozing off at 11:00...

I for one miss you lots! But hey, I raised three kids, so I "get it".

Good post, funny and true, so there is something to learn.

You are normal, your children are normal, we blog friends are normal....some...if the rest of the world...maybe not so much.

Take good care of you and the "fam", life is good.

xoxo

Oooh - the kids and I need to do this. Thanks for the idea. They love playdough.

You're still having trouble with that poison ivy. You poor dear. Take it easy. I have big tub you're welcome to use - teleport over here and I'll stand at the bus stop for you.

Wow … that poison ivy is really sticking around. Perhaps a visit to the doctor is in order. I remember we ended up going when ours wouldn't go away and got some kind of shot or something that cleared it right up.

And I would beam with pride if that little jab was aimed at me!

I wish I could do some blogs at my faculty meetings. Do you think I would get caught if I sat in the back.
I remember making playdoh pizza.

'Why can't I just keep it as my little itchy secret?'

Because of our need to share the bad things as well as the good....lol.

I start nodding at 9 o'clock. Hope that makes you feel better. Have a great weekend.

If you hear back from the Donald, would you put in a good word for me too??? I'm glad that the poison ivy is fading. I'd be exactly like you, I would be showing it off too!

Hugs my friend, and the boys need to know a thinking wife is the best kind of wife!

Hey stranger! I vote for you taking your laptop to the bus stop. Why does that sound like a song? Sorry you still have the itchies. Here's to faster healing times. Oh, and I guarantee your boys will marry girls who are just like their mama.

Ah, Play dough...a love/hate relationship I'm afraid. I'm glad I checked into my blog tonight and saw you there :) I have been AWOL so that I can focus on my personal writing, but like you I'm drained at the end of the day.

And I'm trying to figure out how you could do the laptop at the bus stop-LOL!

I'll bet your husband is so happy that he has a thinking wife! Your boys love to tease you, don't they. It's so fun to watch boys as they grow into their manly senses of humor.

So sorry that poison ivy rash is sticking around. I don't think I've ever had that, and hope I never do. In one of my previous houses, I had a huge garden tub in my bedroom. My son used to love to go "swimming" in it. Sounds like just the remedy for you. And I think Oprah would be quicker to provide that tub for you than Donald, I'm just sayin.' :) Then you could take that laptop to the bathtub (be careful!) and blog away!

Your show and tell moment made me lol. You're such a sharing person it totally fits! 11PM is my bedtime, too. Glad to see you in the blogosphere again. :)

A thinking show and tell woman is a woman with a big heart to share.
I think I'll take a walk to a bus stop and pause for a while.I don't use a bus, but I remember how it was while waiting for them over the years...I imagined all kinds of things and often put the world to right.

The ONLY thing I miss about my house is my tub. It fit my huge body and I could soak...put in a word for me to Donald too. ;)
