Last Week of School

My world this week:

5th grade moving up ceremony tomorrow morning. Middle school here he comes.

Two older boys going to a paint ball party tomorrow. I'm nervous.

8th grade graduation ceremony on Thursday. My oldest is going to high school next year! He's ready. Me? I'm not too sure.

My 8 year old son is going to a pool party on Friday (the last day of school). He has been begging for some pool time. He'll be a happy camper. It could be a wild party so I'll have to be the pool police.

I feel lousy today. Sore throat kicking in. I'll have to quarantine myself from all those over chatty PTA moms. Maybe I'll need to wear those big Jackie O sunglasses and a gardening hat. I could pretend to be my son's eccentric aunt.

Wow, so bittersweet! Those are some big changes headed your way, but I am sure there is joy in moving forward to new adventures as well.

Fingers crossed you feel better soon and the sore throat is fleeting. Find a few minutes for some tea and rest!

How does it happen that one day we have babies and the next day they are starting high school? Does it even seem possible that you will have a high-schooler?

Sounds like you have a lot on your plate this week. I hope you find some time to rest and heal.Take care of yourself--you'll be in my thoughts this hectic week!
