At least, I wasn't in my bathrobe, wearing a facial mask, and sprinting across the lawn!

My life is filled with Lucy moments.

A grill pan is no longer part of my kitchen collection.

I guess my chicken was smoking too much.

That smoke alarm was really loud.

Panicking me didn't call the security company in the first 30 seconds.

Two HUGE firetrucks and one ornery fire chief overpowered my quiet street.

Four kids enjoyed Mom's embarrassment.

What a vlog moment if I taped my minute by minute frenzy about what to do.

The kids will be teasing me forever about this one.

It was comforting to see how fast the fire trucks responded.

I wish that I didn't make those guys hustle so much.

Tonight, we had takeout.

oh Kel, you and I are a match made in heaven. This would totally happen to me. See the thing is, I avoid it by not cooking. You need to teach those cute boys to cook!

Reminds me of the time I flipped my bike on the railroad tracks and some kindly motorist informed the rescue squad, who promptly showed up IN FORCE. Apparently the motorist thought I'd been hit by a car.... I had egg on my face for sure that time!

It does seem like an I Love Lucy moment but it's crazy when it is happening. Hope your evening is more quite today!!

Why do I think this would make a funny Confucius saying? "He who lets his chicken smoke should expect a fiery response." LOL! Okay, I couldn't help it-it's past my bedtime and my brain kind of rolls this way when it's tired.

(BTW-eating out is always the best answer...)

Oh no - I am so sorry you had to go through this. But at least you got to see some firemen, right?

By the way, I love the label - Lucy moment.

It's always easy to laugh at things afterwards. I'm just thankful you're all safe even if you do spent the rest of your life being teased...grins.

That is an impressive response time. I'm sure you wish it wasn't quite as impressive!!

Oh boy, you did make that sound really funny. Just a note, if it happened here where I live, the firemen would take their time arriving!

Oh my! I dread the day that this kind'a embarrassment would happen to me! But I'm curious how fast our local firemen would respond to something like this, especially if it's serious.

Is it wrong that your Lucy moments make me giggle? Sorry for your panicked state and glad that it turned out to be nothing.

Ha! Ha! so funny! Don't worry though, Kelly...the world is laughing with you, not at you because we are all there but for the grace of God.
