J is for Jolt

Well, bel, I did manage to do a poem for National Poetry Month and a post for the letter "J" today :) It may be a one timer for this month, but whew...I did it!!

Remember to visit my fellow poet, bel. She loves visitors too!!

Also, click on the A to Z challenge button on my sidebar to see all the "J" posts for today :)

Thanks for reading.

****************************
Jolt...

What word fell off the tongue
that made you stop
to look -
to open -
to let
the unrehearsed reveal
in a pause
between the busy and obvious

Did the other's slip
of the vulnerable
force your human to jolt...

What flame driven word
burnt through a mask
to pierce -
to birth -
to phoenix
a hand holding that heart
in a pause
between the morn and night

I did not know about the A to Z challenge. This looks like fun. I like your choice of j words. I would not have thought of jolt to write about but you did it well. I love, "That flame driven word, burnt through a mask". I want to do that with my words! :)

I think that last stanza reflects you - your words are powerful yet loving. It's a combination very few people get right. Beautiful Kelly!
