Things I'm Loving This Thursday

So it's Thursday already! It's always fun to visit Teresha over at Marlie and Me for "Things I'm Loving This Thursday."

Here is my list for this week:

  • A woman at the supermarket thought that I was 32!!! Made my year.

  • Soft, comfy pants. In the morning, I consider them my potential exercise pants for the day. They usually wind up being my "relax with a big cookie" pants.

  • Top Chef All Stars. I love that show, especially with Anthony Bourdain as a judge.

  • 75% of my Christmas shopping is done. I found many items on sale. Hooray!

  • My kids are finding ways to keep each other entertained and happy.

  • I'm finding time to read every day. This is HUGE for me!

  • My music = my sanity. Lately, my oldest son will say the following when he sees me listening to music, "Who got Mom mad?" When I get stressed, I jump right into my music to cool down and feel good again. It takes me out of the temptation to lecture the kids and puts me in a happy place.
I'm planning on doing a vlog soon. I can't wait for a good hair day. Those are few and far between. Maybe I'll wear a Santa hat or a tiara (you know that I have a TON of those) to hide my unruly mane!

Cheers to finished Christmas shopping, to reading, and definitely a coffee toast to listening to music, the best of all. Happy Thursday to you :)

Love the potential exercise pants. Had a good laugh. I haven't even started my shopping! Most days (probably everyday) I have my hair in a ponytail. Naveen is at that stage where he pulls on anything he can grab. Love to see you in a tiara!

Loved the post.
Happy Thursday.

It's great to make time for reading. People who don't read don't have much of an advantage over folks who can't read...

I'm just about finished Christmas shopping, too. I haven't been able to fit in much reading lately and I have several new books I'm dying to read. Music always makes me feel happy. I've been listening to Christmas music every day.

Loved the soft, comfy pants comment! I have a bright turqoise pair of sweat pants that I put on right out of bed. It's like easing in to the morning!

the comfy pants thankfulness made me laugh! What's the point of being an at home mom if you have to wear jeans all the time?! :)

Looking forward to the vlog! I won't judge the hair- I'm impressed if you can even shower with 4 kids!

I love that the comment didn't just make your day, but it made your YEAR! :)

Also, hooray for music in our house, too. I've been feasting on Audrey Assad's vocal brilliance. Definitely youtube search her. She's amazing.

A vlog!! Wooo! Do it!

No! Do the vlog with crazy hair! Seriously!

I like to get my mom pricey smelly soap and lotion from one of those fancy stores and today it occurred to me that they might have a discount for their facebook fans so I "like"d them and saved 20%! I don't think I'm quite as far along on my shopping as you, but finding savings felt just as good. :)

Excited for your vlog.

And good job for being 75% done with shopping. That's pretty good and we're not even into double digit numbers for December.

Yeah for comfy pants.

Now honey, that is exercise. It takes jaw movement to eat that sweet, lovely, HUGE cookie. Believe me, I KNOW. :)I'z gets TONS of exercise, daily.

75%????? Why, why that's not possible. I haven't even started. Oh, I forgot about the present hubby bought for someone. He told me about it and I just stood there while my jaw dropped to the floor. OUCH! Then I shook my head and walked away from his jabberin' about how this was a good present.

Looking forward to the vlog. I vote for the tiara. :)

A V-log sounds awesome and super fun. I hope you do one. It's awesome to get Christmas shopping out of the way and having time to read is a major bonus. I enjoyed your Thursday post!

I love Anthony Bourdain! I became a big fan of his travel shows where he travels abroad and tastes the local cuisine. I'm always amazed how much we have in common!

Nice that the kids are entertaining themselves. And how about that, being told something that made your year! Wonderful.

Top Chef! Yay! We watch on Hulu.com-- love that show! It's so inspiring! If it wasn't for strategic viewings of Top Chef, my family would eat a lot more Macaroni and Cheese. :)

Hi Kelly
Why 32 and not 33 or 31 (or even 21)?
I'm really struggling with the Christmas shopping. I ALWAYS struggle with Christmas shopping.
I'm glad you're finding time to read.I'm struggling with that too. I'm struggling with everything this week.
Music is my sanity too...especially at work. I connect to my ipod and stress disappears.

Vlog...how soon?

Ummm 32? You aren't 32? :)

This is the second day I've heard about how awesome Top Chefs is. I am beginning to think that I should watch that, but I am already soooo far behind on ANY tv shows.

Let's hear it for music - it soothes the savage beast in all of us.

Big hugs!

Good to hear some things are going right for you!!! And we want to see you vlogging in all your curly haired glory!! ; )

I'm still trying to finish the book I've started...little time for that. I've not yet got through my Christmas decorations...though I have done 60% of my shopping...waiting for some more good bargains.
Music is such a great stress/anger buster but I have to combine it with cooking(something..anything) and I get back to being amiable
Why does my hair get so unmanageable during winters...it gets so static.

Laughing about the exercise pants : )

32!!! Whoot Whoot!! Ahh... "relax with a big cookie" pants." Make mine chocolate chip! :) Well, I am very happy for you that you've had time to read! I know how hard that can be. I haven't read anything over the past two months, so I think it's about time I start again. :)
