Time to Tag Some Friends

At the grand finale of the 4 questions meme, I happily ask these five wonderful blogging friends (T-Rex Mom, Angela, Kim, Christy, Vicky) the following questions:

I put my brief answers in italics. I'll be short and to the point for a change :)

What is your favorite toy from childhood?

Barbie Townhouse - took my poor Dad forever to build. I remember how my Toni Tennille doll (dating myself now) would visit Barbie and be that annoying neighbor who asks so many questions. I think I even had Toni flirting with Ken.

Did you ever have one of those embarrassing Candid Camera moments in public?

Remember when I told you about my first son (when he was 18 months old) pulling down my pants in the mall?

Do you like dancing those silly dances (Chicken Dance, etc.) at weddings?

I have no problem being silly at a wedding. Even when I slow dance, I'm goofing around.
Can someone teach me the Macarena? I'm always facing the wrong way!

What is your favorite food to cook?

Lasagna - Jillian and I make it together. We're also splattered with ricotta by the end of the task. I won't make it for my Italian in-laws though. They seem to think that this Irish gal can't cook Italian food the "right" way :) You know, maybe I should make it for them and throw a couple of potatoes into the dish!

Feel free to play along too!

This Italian girl is vetoeing the potatoes in the lasagna! But I do think an Irish lass or man can cook good Italian food -- my hubby is walking proof. :)

Hi Kelly! Potatoes in the lasagne!!

The very first time I came across the Macarena, it looked like a bit of fun so I quietly joined at the back ... yes you guessed it. The first time I could watch the guy on the stage, the second time I was trying to see what he was doing out of the corner of my eye, but still couldn't get the sequence right. Then suddenly I had my back to the guy on the stage and the whole room-full of people watching me from behind, and me not having the foggiest idea what the moves were supposed to be! The embarrassment!

Kelly, I remember really wanting a Barbie but my budget minded mother bought me a cheaper knock off. I don't think I ever owned a real Barbie. I've made up for it by over-indulging my granddaughters...they have naked Barbies all over their house. For some reason Barbie just can't seem to keep her clothes on. That's women's liberation for you...

Am I the only one who did not play with Barbie dolls?! I loved my teddy bears and cabbage patch doll, but Barbie was not welcome in my toy box. Maybe I was protecting them from developing a poor body image.

Oh what fun!!! I love those silly dances at weddings ... but I never know some of the moves for them. One of my favorites was seeing a groom go all out dancing to Cotton Eyed Joe.

Ha ha... Toni Tennille! Yes, oh gosh. I too had the Barbie dream house I think, and yet I completely preferred my cardboard creations and kleenex box furniture. I felt so guilty asking for something so extravagant and then never really enjoying it... lesson learned! Um no, I don't remember the 18 month old pulling your pants down in the store... so I had a good laugh at that one :) Thanks for the tag, looks like fun!

Thanks for coming by my blog! Your blog is great! I use that template for one of my blogs. It's fun to see it with a different twist.

Love the questions.

I had horse statues as my love. I kept one and still play with it sometimes:)

When I was in grade school I was playing hop scotch and when I got to the two foot part I peed my pants and it was not a little amount. I wanted to disappear.

I silly danced at my son's wedding

I'm allergic to cooking

I had the playhouse too! I thought it was the coolest. My interest in my barbies begin to fade when my baby sister decided to put grape chapstick in one of the barbie's hair because it needed "hair grease"!!! BTW, Hair grease is what we call moisturizer for African-American hair.
